It's a fantastic base for explorers, with the famous Teesdale Way path running right by, ready for you to discover the area's natural beauty. You’re also brilliantly located to visit some of the region's top attractions. The medieval Raby Castle is just a 6-mile drive away, while the world-renowned Bowes Museum (8 miles) is a stunning French-style chateau packed with treasures. The charming village of Gainford is also within easy walking distance – just 0.5 miles along the river. This riverside lodge is the perfect tranquil spot to get away from it all.

Come on in and make yourself at home in an interior designed for comfort and relaxation. The open-plan living space is the true heart of the lodge, a bright and airy room where huge glass doors let the beautiful outdoors in. After a day of adventure, you can sink into the comfy sofas, get the wood burner going for a cosy atmosphere, and settle down for a film night on the Smart TV. This is a lovely, well thought out lodge. The setting was perfect - quiet and relaxing and an excellent base for exploring. Beds very comfortable, with lovely crisp white bedding and towels. The kitchen is ideal for a weekend away. Hot tub a great addition and enjoyed by all. Would we return - yes definitely.

A lovely light, airy and dog friendly ecolodge in a great location only metres from the river with a great walk into the nearby village with places to stop for dogs to swim. A large balcony and hot tub cap off a wonderful holiday home experience.
