Property code: OC-P35058

This cottage has recently been fully renovated to provide a beautiful blend of traditional character with modern comfort. Located in a quiet rural hamlet (and yet six miles from the city centre) with a wide range of facilities including two pubs, village shop and excellent walking from your doorstep.  A short drive takes you into the Peak District National Park where you can enjoy walks at Stanage Edge, Edale and the Pennine Way, or visit the country estates of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, estates rich in architecture and mature gardens, less than eleven miles away. The Dark Peak (more hilly) transitions to the White Peak, south of a line between the pretty market town of Bakewell and Buxton, to a softer, more undulating landscape. Enjoy some cycling along the old railway lines, the Monsal Trail (central) or further south along the Tissington Trail - hire of bikes being readily available.

On arrival, guests are welcomed into an impressive open-plan ground floor where the kitchen, dining and living areas flow seamlessly together. Light fills the space, highlighting the quality of the finishes and creating an inviting atmosphere that works just as well for relaxed mornings as it does for sociable evenings. The kitchen is spacious and well designed, offering ample worktop space and modern appliances, making it ideal for both everyday cooking and special meals. The quirky dining area sits comfortably within the open space, perfect for lingering breakfasts or evenings spent around the table. Beyond this, the living area is centred around a log burner, providing a cosy focal point and a welcoming place to unwind after a day exploring. Carefully chosen furnishings and striking artwork enhance the sense of style and quality throughout. The cottage offers two beautifully presented king size bedrooms, each designed as a calm and comfortable retreat. Both bedrooms benefit from their own contemporary en-suite shower rooms, finished to a high standard and offering privacy and convenience for all guests.

Outside, to the front of the cottage, there is a private secure patio seating area where guests can enjoy morning coffee, evening drinks or simply take in the surrounding setting.
