Providing a luxurious glamping experience in Chard. Set amidst the serene beauty of the Somerset countryside, this glamping pod is perfect for a romantic escape, offering both comfort and seclusion. Tucked away in its own private field, the pod is surrounded by majestic oak trees and golden barley fields. The site is a haven for wildlife, with a variety of birds from woodpeckers to kingfishers, making it an ideal retreat for nature enthusiasts. The surrounding landscape is ideal for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers alike, with peaceful routes through rolling fields and woodland on your doorstep. The market town of Chard is 4 miles away and offers local shops, cafes and pubs, plus historical sites and attractions. Slightly further afield is the charming seaside location of Lyme Regis, 17 miles, with scenic beaches and great fossil hunting spots.

Wander approximately 60 metres across the field from your parked car to reach the pod’s location. Enter via two external steps into the pod, thoughtfully designed with a range of facilities to make your stay comfortable and convenient, including wonderful underfloor heating throughout. The kitchen area is fully equipped with modern appliances, perfect for preparing meals at your leisure. Unwind on the cosy corner sofa or enjoy a drink at the solid oak bar with stools. The double bed provides a restful night’s sleep, while the en-suite bathroom features a hot shower, WC, and a cosy heated towel rail. The pod is also fitted with electrical lighting and a TV for relaxing evenings in. Enjoy being away from the day-to-day hustle and bustle with a stay in this delightful rural escape.

Step outside to enjoy the hot tub, where you can soak and admire the stunning views with a tipple. The terrace area offers comfortable seating, and a BBQ is available for al fresco dining. A wooden fence surrounds the pod, creating a private and peaceful retreat. Just across the way, an enclosed duck pond is home to a variety of ducks and other waterfowl, adding a touch of nature to your stay. If you stay at the right time of year, you’ll get to see the lambs bouncing around in the field opposite.

We had the best relaxing five days, the scenery was beautiful so quiet just the relaxing sound of nature, the pod was clean , comfortable had everything you needed , Kate the host was friendly, welcoming and was to hand if you needed anything , definitely recommend to family and friends and definitely return again .

We had such a lovely stay at this pod! The hot tub was a real highlightperfect for relaxing and taking in the peaceful surroundings. Its incredibly quiet and tranquil, exactly what we were looking for. Kate was very welcoming, meeting us on arrival and showing us around, which made us feel right at home. Well definitely be coming back!
