Set on the fringes of the Northumberland Coast National Landscape, this is the perfect base for days of both seaside and countryside adventure. Stroll less than 0.5 miles into the centre of Embleton to find a choice of local pubs and a handy farm shop – golfers are spoilt with Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Course just 1 mile away. Nearby, Embleton Bay (1.5 miles) sets the scene for typical days on the sandy beach, overlooked by the famous ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle (3.5 miles). The castle sits outside the charming fishing village of Craster, known for its royal kippers and coastal walking opportunities. For those wishing to stride out beside the water, the dramatic Northumberland Coastal Path can be joined within 1 mile of the property. The attractions of Alnwick and Bamburgh are less than 10 miles away.

Before stepping into this welcoming two-storey property, take a moment to admire its handsome brick exterior, lawned garden, and spacious driveway. Head inside, kick off your sandy shoes in the hallway, then venture deeper to find light and airy interiors with calming hues and homely comforts. The open-plan lounge, kitchen, and diner form the social heart of the home and are soaked in natural light thanks to the large roof lantern and French doors to the garden. The well-appointed kitchen boasts everything needed for a self-catering stay; enjoy your holiday feasts at the long dining table, at the breakfast bar if numbers are low, or al fresco out in the garden when the sun shines. You’ll find plenty of space to spread out and relax, starting with the main lounge in the open-plan living space, featuring deep sofas and a Smart TV for cosy movie nights. A second lounge overlooks the front garden and offers books and board games, while a snug/playroom provides a perfect spot for little ones to escape to. Enjoy competitive evenings in the garage-turned-games room, featuring a pool table and secure bike storage. A handy utility space with laundry facilities completes the ground floor. Upstairs, four restful bedrooms offer a great night’s sleep: choose from a master king-size room with garden views, two double bedrooms, one of which boasts a TV and en-suite shower room, plus a single bedroom with a pull-out mattress for one additional child guest. Serving the bedrooms and completing the home is a well-appointed family bathroom with a shower over the bath.

From the living space, step outside each day and make full use of the fantastic garden. Here, two furnished patio spaces invite slow morning coffees and al fresco evening feasts. The house was superb. There was everything we needed for our holiday and lots more. My granddaughter loved the playroom and didn't actually play with the toys she brought with her. There was so much room and we were able to prepare meals and still be part of everything. The kitchen was very well equiped and it was obvious it was a well loved faRead moremily holiday home as so much thought had gone into the furnishings and equipment. None of the mismatched second hand furniture and uncomfortable sofas we have encountered in other hoiday lets. There were no fights over the TV programmes as there was a TV in the very comfortable snug asa well as the main living area. The property is very quiet and the neighbours were friendly. The walk to the beach was managable for a 5 year old. The walk to Low Newton beach was a bit longer but well worth it and the pub there was good with plenty of outside seating on the green. It is the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. Hide
