Located in the heart of Holt, this characterful cottage is a wonderfully relaxed base for small groups of family or friends to discover one of North Norfolk’s most popular Georgian market towns. A short walk (0.5 mile) takes you to a pleasing mix of independent shops, antique stores, art galleries, cafés and places to eat. The nearby Holt Country Park (1 mile) has 100 acres of woodland trails and open space – wonderful for walking the dog. There is also an entrance to the Country Park 100 yards from the property. At the train station (1.5 miles), embark on a nostalgic journey on the heritage steam railway to Sheringham (7 miles), famed for its traditional charm and seafront. Wildlife lovers can head to Pensthorpe Nature Reserve (12.5 miles) for world-class birdwatching. Wells-next-the-Sea (12.5 miles) has sandy beaches, dunes and a historic harbour. Cultural days out include the grand National Trust estate of Blickling Hall (10.5 miles) and seal-spotting walks at Blakeney Point (6 miles).

The cottage is arranged over two floors, starting with the ground floor, which is home to a welcoming lounge. A wood burner set within a brick fireplace creates a cosy focal point for evenings in, plus there’s a Smart TV for relaxed downtime. Nearby, the sleek kitchen is well equipped for rustling up meals after days out. A family bathroom completes the ground floor layout. Head up the characterful cottage-style stairs, which are steep and may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility, to find two comfortable bedrooms: a king-size and a double. Throughout, the spaces feel homely and inviting, with artwork on the walls adding to the charming atmosphere.

Step outside to an enclosed garden with a patio area and outdoor furniture, ideal for morning coffees or unwinding in the fresh Norfolk air. Although it’s mostly enclosed, dog owners should note that the garden isn’t fully secure. A footpath runs along the back of the garden, providing the neighbour with a right of way to their own garden. On street parking available opposite.

Great property with character, with a short walk to the village. We have a dog and it was only 5 minutes walk to the country woodland park. Enclosed garden which gets the sun all day.
