Ideal for relaxed coastal escapes, this large cottage in sought-after Harlyn Bay provides spacious accommodation for up to eight guests. It’s a superb base for families and groups of friends seeking easy access to beach days and scenic adventures on Cornwall’s north coast. The nearby sandy beach (200 metres) is ideal for swimming and sandcastle-building, and sailing, windsurfing and surfing are possible in Harlyn Bay. Walkers can join the South West Coast Path (350 metres), with rewarding routes around Mother Ivey’s Bay and the Trevose Headland (2 miles). Visit the picturesque Trevone Bay (3 miles), popular for its blowhole, tidal pool and two gorgeous beaches, or Padstow (4 miles) for shops, restaurants, harbour walks and boat trips. Cyclists can also pick up the Camel Trail in Padstow for leisurely rides with picnic stops along the way (bike hire possible).

On arrival, step into the welcoming hallway, where a twin bedroom sits to the right alongside a handy WC. To the left is a spacious L-shaped living area, starting with a lounge with wonderful sea views, a Smart TV, an electric wood burner effect fire, and elegant blue slate features. This flows around into the dining area, where your group can sit down to shared meals after busy days out in the sunshine. Patio doors from both areas open straight onto the terrace. The kitchen, positioned off the hallway, has a charming retro feel and is fully equipped for self-catering. A generous utility room leads off from here, containing washing appliances, alongside a separate shower room and WC. Upstairs, three bedrooms all enjoy sea views – a king-size with an en-suite bathroom, a double with an en-suite shower room, and a bunk bedroom that works well for children. There is also a handy separate WC on this floor.

Outside, the sunny private patio presents a lovely spot for al fresco dining, complete with seating and peaceful views over the surrounding fields. There is also a separate enclosed lawn area adjacent to the patio, ideal for children to play safely. There is also a shared children’s play area on site. Private parking is available for up to three cars, with additional spaces sometimes available nearby.
