Escape to this cosy cottage within the spectacular Hartland Heritage Coast, and you will find yourself in the heart of one of North Devon’s most dramatic and unspoilt landscapes. Just 10 minutes' walk from the front door, across adjoining fields, you will find the South West Coast Path with breathtaking cliff-top trails and wide sea views along the coast and out towards Lundy Island. The cottage is ideally located halfway between Bideford and Bude, providing a great opportunity to explore the wonders of Devon, Cornwall and the National Parks of Exmoor and Dartmoor. A trip to nearby Clovelly (5 miles by car or on foot via the coastal path), with its famous traffic-free, cobbled streets and historic harbour, is highly recommended. For those that love the sea, there is fantastic surfing in Croyde and family-friendly sea pools can be found in Westward Ho! and Bude. Closer to home, Hartland Quay is another highlight, renowned for its striking rock formations and dramatic Atlantic waves. Meanwhile, Hartland Abbey and its gardens provide a gentler day out, blending history, woodland walks, and beautiful coastal views. Hartland itself, home to several local artists, boasts three pubs, a coffee shop, a post office and a convenience store

Set mainly on one level, this welcoming retreat combines comfort with countryside charm. Enter the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where the sofas gather around a crackling wood burner and Smart TV – a lovely place to settle after a day out. Two steps lead you up to the kitchen and dining area, designed for sociable mealtimes and equipped with all the appliances you’ll need for a hassle-free stay. From this level you'll find the hallway, with two inviting bedrooms: a king-size and a double, both styled in soft, calming tones to help you drift off with ease. A family shower room completes the layout.

Outside, you will find glorious, rural panoramic views. With enclosed gardens to the front and rear, outdoor seating and a charcoal BBQ, there’s plenty of opportunity for open-air dining and simply enjoying the uninterrupted dark skies. Private parking for two cars adds to the convenience.

Comfortable cottage in a lovely position. Great for coastal walks and for exploring the coast farther afield in spite of the bad weather

The cottage was very clean and well equipped. A little isolated but in a beautiful setting. Pubs in nearest village are very good. Dont forget to bring a hairdryer with you.

Lovely very rural location - ideal for people who want some peace and quiet. The cottage was very comfortable and great for our dog as it had an enclosed patio/garden area. We enjoyed our stay there despite the disappointing weather.

We were a family of 4 (2 kids 10 and 14) we really needed a relaxing holiday and some time away from the hustle and bustle of London, Wow! This little barn conversion was perfect and a great location to explore the Nth Devon coast, with 5 mins we were looking over the sea. We had some amazing walks
