Cherish wonderful moments with your loved ones at the beautiful stone cottage in the outskirts of Swanage. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms, it’s an ideal accommodation option for small families or groups of friends who are looking for a stylish retreat to call home while they explore the beautiful Dorset countryside together. Spend a lovely morning strolling along the 4-mile-long beach at Studland Bay (2 miles), or spend a happy afternoon walking along the Victorian pier in Swanage (1.5 miles). Alternatively, head to Corfe Castle (5 miles) to explore the atmospheric ruins of a Norman fortress that has dominated the Purbeck skyline for over 1,000 years; or make a beeline to Poole Quayside (5.5 miles) to delve deep into the heart of the Old Town where sea captains and pirates once lived.

Step through your charming stable door, and you’ll find a galley-style kitchen and an inviting open-plan living/dining area. Sink onto the sofa and enjoy an evening in front of the Smart TV, before you head to the kitchen to rustle up some dinner. Climb the spiral staircase to unwind with your favourite book in the snug. You’ll find two cosy bedrooms – a smart double with a vaulted ceiling, and a charming twin. Completing the layout, you’ll find a family bathroom with a double shower and WC.

Head out into the quaint courtyard garden to fire up the coal BBQ and enjoy a relaxing al fresco dinner. Please note that the real stable block is not accessible to guests. You’ll also find a handy outdoor utility room and parking for at least two cars.

We loved our stay at Stable Cottage. It was clean, well equipped and more spacious than we realised. Perfect location for exploring the Isle of Purbeck and beyond and very close to the lovely Swanage. It was very peaceful and lovely to see the horses outside our bedroom windows as well as enjoy the many birds and visiting deer. The little compliRead morementary touches, like tea, coffee and biscuits were appreciated as well as some toiletries. Highly recommend. Hide

Really nice,spacious comfortable bungalow in a lovely quiet location but very convenient for regular buses . Plenty of parking at the property. Very pleasant and friendly owner who checked we were installed ok but never bothered us . Excellent walks immediately from the property. I hope to stay again and would recommend it to my family and friends.
