Stay at this delightful cottage, ideal for couples or solo travellers looking for a peaceful retreat in an idyllic Dorset village setting. It is an ideal base for exploring local Dorset attractions and accessing the local amenities. Child Okeford has plenty of eateries and a village shop for any essentials. The historic Iron Age hill fort of Hambledon Hill is only 1 mile away, set on the edge of Cranbourne Chase with far-reaching views and wild flowers to discover. Visit the Georgian town of Blandford Forum, just 6.5 miles away, where you can explore the Royal Signals Museum, browse a variety of local shops, or indulge in one of the many cafes. The National Trust properties of Kingston Lacy House and historic Badbury Rings are both less than 16 miles away, as is Stourhead, world famous landscape garden less than 25 miles away.. Alternatively, the Jurassic Coast at Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are must-visits, both within 30 miles.

There is a step to the entrance of this characterful cottage set over two levels. Step inside and you will find contemporary styling blending with a touch of classic country-style furnishings. There are plenty of thoughtful touches in the decor that create a welcoming, relaxing ambience for your stay. On the ground floor, you will find a lovely, bright kitchen/diner with all the appliances and space you need to make meal preparation a breeze. A charming dining table sits to one side, and with the addition of some simple and homely touches, this feels like a warm social space. At the end of a day of adventure, there is an inviting lounge with welcoming armchairs for you to sink into and unwind. The room is light and boasts characterful exposed wooden beams. Enjoy a cup of tea in the afternoon, read, or turn on the Smart TV to binge on your favourite box set. Head upstairs from the lounge and you’ll find a comfortable, double bedroom with a changing area, plenty of storage, and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower attachment.
