Swanage is a delightful seaside town set along the breathtaking Jurassic Coast. Rich in history and surrounded by spectacular natural scenery, it offers something for everyone. Enjoy sweeping views across the bay, browse the independent shops, or soak up the nostalgia of traditional seaside amusements. The sandy beach is ideal for sandcastle building, while Durlston Country Park provides a peaceful setting for a picnic with coastal views. Swanage also makes an excellent base for exploring the rolling Purbeck Hills, a paradise for walkers and nature lovers. Highlights include the dramatic Old Harry Rocks, the historic ruins of Corfe Castle, and a charming steam train journey through the countryside. Within 9 miles, you’ll also find popular attractions such as Monkey World, The Tank Museum, RSPB Arne, and the historic walled town of Wareham.

Head along the shared path from the street and you’ll find the private access gate to the cottage. A set of external steps leads down through the charming garden to the private entrance door into the property. Step inside and leave your shoes and coats in the welcoming entrance hallway. The stylish open-plan kitchen/diner sits to the left and has space to prepare hearty family meals before dining in comfort together. There is also a TV in this space. The stylish bathroom leads from this room and boasts a bath, separate shower and WC. Set to the front of the building at lower ground floor level is a spacious twin bedroom, a peaceful spot for a good night’s sleep. From the hallway is the double bedroom, which borrows light from the kitchen area and has ample storage thanks to its built-in wardrobes. Head up the stairs rising from the kitchen and relax in the spacious lounge area, thoughtfully furnished with solid oak floors and soft sofas, and offering views across Swanage town. This is the perfect spot to unwind, and there is also a sofa bed, suitable for two additional guests on request.

A door leads from the kitchen into the well-tended garden with raised decking and dining furniture. A real gem in the heart of Swanage, spend your time here enjoying your morning coffee before a day spent exploring. Lovely cottage, near to shops and beach. Has a great garden for my dog. There is no designated parking which was an issue on a few days! However, I would still recommend this cottage.

Lovely cottage, clean and tidy, steps going down to the cottage are a bit steep.
