Set in a tranquil spot, a stone’s throw from the river’s edge, Alice’s Cottage is in the perfect location for a relaxing break away. Nestled amongst the trees on a quiet country lane, this gorgeous, chocolate box, semi-detached cottage is just a few yards from the footpath to Looe. The beautiful walk through the woods is approximately 2 miles taking you right into Looe so you can enjoy the amenities on offer there. The surrounding area is peaceful and quiet, away from the day to day hustle and bustle, and is perfect for birdwatchers and walkers. With two double beds and parking, this lovely cottage also boasts exposed beams, slate floor and a lovely woodburner.

GROUND FLOOR:
Lounge: 42" Smart TV with Sky, Blu-ray DVD player, radio/CD/iPod docking station, woodburner.
Kitchen / Diner: Electric cooker, microwave, washing machine.  Small chest freezer in downstairs cupboard

FIRST FLOOR:
Bedroom 1: Double bed (4'6"), built in wardrobe, chest of drawers.
Bedroom 2: Double bed (4'6"), built in wardrobe.
Bathroom: Bath (electric shower over), basin, w.c.

GARDEN & PARKING: Parking for 2 cars at the side of the cottage. Large patio to the front with garden furniture.  Just beyond the parking area is the raised barbecue area.  Summerhouse with seating

Changeover Day: Saturday - arrival 3:00pm - departure 10:00am
Power and Heat: Electricity included in rent; electric heating throughout, woodburner in lounge, heated towel rail in bathroom
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided (please bring your own beach towels)

Pets Welcome: 1 small / medium pet allowed; £25 per week
Baby Equipment: Travel cot and high chair provided. Please bring your own cot bedding.
Shop: 2 ml Pub: 2 ml

NOTES: No smoking, no pets. WiFi provided. Mobile reception varies. Please note as with most cottages, there is restricted headroom due to exposed beams or sloping eaves.

Fantastic stay at Alices Cottage. Lovely and comfortable, and so well equipped. Great quiet location with 3 other properties, yet less than 10mins drive from Looe. Lovely walk along the river, through the woods, into Looe which takes 35-45 mins.

Alice's Cottage is the perfect countryside retreat. We were lucky enough to meet the lovely owners who have thought of everything to make the cottage cosy, warm, comfortable, and with one of the best set of kitchen equipment I have ever seen in a holiday cottage. It was such a treat to walk to the woods with our very happy dog every morning, and Read morebe able to walk to Looe and back, along the river, without needing a car. There are some beautiful beaches and walks close by, and further afield if you want to drive. The visitor's book says it all, with so many returning guests every year. Lovely cottage, quiet location, would be improved by heating in the bedrooms especially in winter, everything you could want has been thought of the welcome pack was a lovely touch

The cottage was perfect with everything needed for the perfect getaway. The kitchen facilities and utensils were were stocked and quality. A lovely cottage with great walks in the forest and into Looe itself. There are a couple of walks into Looe but one of them is tide dependent, so check your tide tables. As is mentioned, it's definitely a cosy cottage which is lovely for people of my height (5'8"), but if you're a family of 6 footers you'll be treading carefully around the place! Wow, what a fantastic little cottage. It was cosy, very well equipped and more than met our needs. The area is beautiful and there are some amazing walks especially for the dog. The cottage is situated within easy reach of all the quaint little fishing villages and harbours, with plenty to do and see in and around the local area. Beautiful cottage, well kept with everything you need to hand. Kitchen was complete with everything you could possibly need, even bin bags, washing up liquid and salt and pepper etc Lovely place, would stay again and recommend.

Beautiful cottage in an idyllic location. Cottage very well equipped, comfortable and peaceful. Lovely walk to Looe down the Estuary. Country lanes in this area are very narrow so be prepared to reverse up and take it easy.

The cottage is very cosy, and in a quiet position, although the single track access is a bit challenging.The riverside walk was unusable due to the heavy rains, so had to use the car everywhere.A bit too remote for me although the cottage itself was lovely.

Unfortunately a disappointing stay. The house was not very clean on arrival the downstairs floor in particular was dirty (we had to keep socks on because of how dirty it was). House was damp (visible condensation on inside walls in particular sitting room) and smelt quite bad. No phone signal at all and wifi intermittent. I dont really mind pooRead morer wifi on holiday but be prepared for no mobile signal at all. Access to the property whilst fine from a navigation perspective is challenging as the foliage is very overgrown and car scratched going through the brambles etc. to get down the lane. Location is very peaceful but overall we would not come back. Hide
