Escape to the North Devon coast in this spacious holiday home just outside Woolacombe. Sleeping six guests and with a choice of social spaces, it’s the perfect base for large families and groups of friends. Woolacombe (1.5 miles) is a vibrant coastal village with a range of independent eateries, along with gift stores, boutiques, and surf shops to potter around. The village’s star attraction is its 3-mile stretch of golden sand, perfect for family picnics, beach games, or sunset strolls along the shoreline. The beach is also a hot spot for water sports, particularly surfing. The long-distance South West Coast Path passes through the village, offering spectacular clifftop walks with far-reaching views – the stretch towards Morte Point is particularly stunning. Further afield, enjoy a relaxed afternoon ambling around the surfing village of Croyde (6 miles), or head into the historic market town of Barnstaple (13 miles) for a spot of retail therapy.

The detached retreat is decorated in a contemporary style, with little nods to the coastal setting in the accessories and artwork. Enter the property via the conservatory that overlooks the garden. Here, you’ll find a comfortable sofa – the perfect place to sit with a coffee in the morning, as you plan your day. This room also houses a large, wooden dining table where you can all gather for mealtimes together. From the conservatory, bi-fold doors open onto a stylish kitchen, equipped with everything needed for a successful self-catering getaway. Heading further into the house, you’ll find a snug with comfortable seating set around a Smart TV and behind the wood-panelled wall, there is a convenient ground-floor shower room. The snug leads to the main lounge, with feature wood burner, lighting and homely touches for cosy nights in. Gather here, at the end of an action-packed day, to enjoy a movie night around the Smart TV. Completing the ground floor is an inviting single bedroom and a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The two remaining double bedrooms are upstairs, nestled in the eaves, and both boast distant sea views. One of the bedrooms also has a little den area with a TV that children will adore. Rounding off this level is a refreshing family bathroom. Please note, the upstairs bedrooms have sloping ceilings, and you may experience restricted head height in some areas.
