Escape with your special someone to this delightful cottage sitting in the heart of the vibrant market town of Holt. Sleeping two people in one bedroom, it’s an ideal accommodation option for romantic couples looking for a tranquil retreat to call home while they explore the North Norfolk coast together. Spend a great morning exploring the historic village of Cley-next-the-Sea (4 miles). Check out its 18th-century windmill, browse the quaint village shops and then go birdwatching at the nature reserve. Alternatively, head into Well-next-the-Sea (12.5 miles) to stroll along its lively harbour and take a hike along its impressive beach. Or make a beeline for Holkham (13.5 miles), the 18th century Palladian house that’s home to the Earl of Leicester. You can also take a walk along Holkham Beach, which you may recognise from the film, Shakespeare in Love. In the summer, the beach is visited by horses from the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, which hosts an annual regimental camp there.

Step inside this delightful cottage and you’ll be welcomed by a cosy sitting room that showcases modern comfort and traditional charm. Sink into an armchair to admire the period features before you head to the sleek kitchen to whip up some dinner and then enjoy a glass of wine back in the sitting room to catch up on your favourite TV shows. At the end of the day, head upstairs and you’ll find a light-filled king-size bedroom with timeless furnishings. A very comfortable and homely cottage, we would consider returning in the future. The choices of shops, pubs and restaurants in Holt is very good too.

Cottage was warm, clean and comfortable. Little touches like Teabags, Cookies and Apple juice made things extra comfortable. A delightful place to stay and close to a convenience store made things easy. Lovely village and such friendly people too.
