Walkers and cyclists will love the wealth of scenic trails that surround the property, cutting across the countryside or heading towards the coast. A unique way to enjoy the seaside landscapes is by boarding the North Norfolk Railway, which offers a memorable 5.5-mile journey from the Victorian resort of Sheringham (14.5 miles) to the Georgian market town of Holt (8 miles). Other popular coastal spots include Cromer, Blakeney, Hunstanton, and Heacham (all within 22 miles). To soak up Norfolk’s rich history, you can plan visits to the Sandringham Estate, Holkham Hall Estate, and the National Trust sites of Blickling Estate and Felbrigg Hall and Gardens (all within 23 miles). If you’re visiting at Christmastime, head to nearby Thursford (1.5 miles) to see the incredible Christmas Spectacular event.

As you approach this charming Norfolk home, take a moment to admire its peaceful village setting and the far-reaching rural views that set the scene for a memorable stay together. Head inside and you'll find the property is spread across two floors, featuring light and airy interiors complemented by creamy walls and calming hues. After a day of adventure, retreat to the elegant lounge, which features glass doors to the patio that you can swing open to let the fresh air flow through. Unwind here as you sink into the soft seating and catch your favourite shows on the Smart TV. When stomachs begin to rumble, walk through to the social hub of the house, the open-plan kitchen/diner. This well-appointed and sleek space offers everything you need for a self-catered stay, including a Smart TV and a kitchen island to perch at while the chef cooks a feast. Enjoy memorable meals at the island for casual dining, at the table beside the window, or alfresco-style out on the patio. At the end of each busy day away, retire to a choice of three restful bedrooms, the first of which is on the ground floor, offering twin beds perfect for younger guests. Upstairs, choose from two super-king-size bedrooms, one of which boasts an en-suite shower room, the other offering zip-and-link beds for flexible sleeping arrangements. A ground-floor utility room and first-floor family bathroom complete the interior.

Step outside each day and make full use of the generous outdoor space. A patio wraps around the garden featuring outdoor furniture perfect for morning coffees and al fresco evening meals, as well as a summerhouse to retreat to if the rain falls. Lark Rise was a stunning house in a beautiful Norfolk Village. It is perfectly placed for exploring all of the wonderful seaside towns and villages that North Norfolk have to offer. The house is wonderfully modern and has everything you could possibly want for that perfect stay.
