The popular Fisherman’s Cot is just 0.3 miles short stroll away, making it easy to enjoy riverside food and drinks, while scenic trails along the Exe Valley Way are easily accessed nearby. The Devon Railway Centre is a stones throw away and offers a unique railway experience, unlimited rides on two different railways and a huge model railway exhibition to enjoy.  A short drive brings you to the historic city of Exeter (around 7 miles), while Crealy Adventure Park is approximately 10 miles away for fun-filled family days. For longer adventures, the dramatic landscapes of Exmoor National Park begin at roughly 12 miles, offering endless opportunities for outdoor exploration. The surf mecca beaches of North Devon are an hours drive, whereas the beaches of South Devon are 20 miles away. National Trust visits to Killerton and Knightshayes are close by, offering a lovely day out at historical properties with amazing gardens, dog walks and cafe's. The River Exe flows through the meadow, a short stroll from the safari tents and offers fly fishing for Brown Trout, Grayling and Salmon, on the owners private stretch of water. For nature enthusiasts, the star gazing is immense here in clear skies and the meadow shares it's peaceful space with deer, owls, otters and kingfishers.

Inside, the safari tent has been thoughtfully designed to balance comfort with character, accommodating up to six guests. Sleeping arrangements include a king-size bedroom, a twin bedroom and a king-size cabin bed, entered up a static ladder, that creates a den-style sleeping space for children or adults. Below the cabin bed is a cosy nook space with bean bags for kids to play or read. The modern shower room is located to the rear and includes constant hot water for a shower, WC and basin. The open-plan living area features a compact yet well-equipped kitchen with gas hob and small fridge/freezer, alongside a dining space and a comfortable seating area. On cooler evenings, the log burner provides a warm and inviting focal point, perfect for unwinding after a day outdoors.

Outside, guests can make the most of the private enclosed decked veranda, complete with outdoor seating and far-reaching countryside views. A dedicated fire pit/BBQ area sets the scene for relaxed evenings cooking, chatting, melting marshmallows and enjoying time together under the stars. Children are well catered for with an on-site play area featuring swings, slides and climbing features, a games room offering pool, table football and darts and, new this year, a mown football pitch with goals within the meadow. Swimming is allowed in the river. ( Children to be accompanied ) There is an honesty shop on site offering kids games, snacks, drinks and charcoal for the BBQ.
