Located on a working farm, it enjoys direct access to walking routes across the Caldbeck Fells, an unspoilt corner of the national park. The village of Caldbeck lies just 5.5 miles away, while the popular market town of Keswick, with its range of shops, cafés and pubs, is around 17.5 miles from the property. Nature lovers will enjoy nearby Bassenthwaite Lake, just 6 miles away and renowned for its wildlife, while Derwentwater (18 miles) offers opportunities for boating, kayaking and other water-based activities. Whinlatter Forest is 19 miles away with its mountain biking trails. For a gentler day out, Mirehouse and Gardens (13 miles), dating back to the 17th century, can be visited during its open season.
