A short ferry ride from Rock brings you to the charming harbour town of Padstow, with its cobbled streets and quaint boutiques and galleries. While away an afternoon here, pottering around the shops or hiking along the South West Coast Path. Other nearby days out include the picture-postcard fishing village of Port Isaac (7 miles) and the surfing hotspot of Polzeath (4.5 miles). There are also some excellent family attractions within easy reach, such as Tintagel Castle (15 miles) and Newquay Zoo (20 miles).

After dinner at the contemporary dining table, retire to the comfortable lounge area to sink into the sofa and watch a movie on the Smart TV. When day turns to night, choose from two beautiful king-size bedrooms, one of which has its own en-suite bathroom with an indulgent, free-standing bath. Bi-fold doors from the living area open onto a private terrace with fabulous estuary views. After a day of adventure, unwind in the sunken hot tub. Guests are also welcome to make use of the on site, shared games room and indoor swimming pool (available from April until the end of October). Private parking is available adjacent to the lodge for two cars.
