For couples and solo travellers who are craving natural beauty, simplicity and calm, this gorgeous rural retreat awaits. It’s in the heart of the Ceredigion countryside, inland from the seaside town of Aberystwyth (7 miles), in a meadow on the edge of a very small attractive village with wide skies and open farmland all around. The welcoming cabin is the only one on site and you will have exclusive access to the 11 acre meadow. It is also ideal if you love walking, cycling and scenic drives, with immediate access to quiet country lanes and footpaths. The beautiful Ystwyth Valley (7 miles) is ripe for exploration, while Aberystwyth (7 miles) has a classic seaside promenade, pier, independent shops, cafés and restaurants – not to mention a vibrant arts scene. Board the Vale of Rheidol Railway (6 miles) to the impressive Devil’s Bridge Falls (6 miles), or wander round the historic Hafod Estate (10 miles). Beaches at Clarach Bay (7 miles), Borth (10 miles) and Ynyslas National Nature Reserve (14 miles) are all worth the trip.

On arrival, you’ll stop at the parking area and use a handy trolley to take your belongings across the field to your pretty boutique cabin. A stunning scene awaits, with the wood-panelled hut complete with a decked porch and surrounded by greenery. Step inside to find a cleverly designed, welcoming space that makes the most of every inch. There is a cosy sofa with a wood burner to keep you warm late into the night. To the right, an arch leads to the comfortable sleeping area which has a double bed with rustic wooden storage underneath. The cabin features a refreshing shower room and WC. The well equipped kitchen has everything that you need. Throughout, rich blue walls, colourful details and warm timber finishes create a characterful, feel-good interior that’s both cosy and uplifting.

Make plenty of time to relax outside under the covered decking area which provides outdoor seating and an eating area. Cook up a BBQ or take a dip in the double ended sunken outdoor bath where you can soak up the quiet rhythms of the surrounding countryside. Private parking is available for one car.

We had such a wonderful time at the property, it had everything we could have wanted, was immaculately clean and the location is beautiful. Peter was so helpful and gave us loads of useful tips and local information. A wonderful relaxing break in west Wales

This was an amazing last minute find and Peter was brilliant being able to accommodate us at the very last minute (due to the cancellation of another booking). The hut was amazing and had everything and more that we needed. The welcome package of bread, butter, honey, tea, coffee, apple juice and milk was very much appreciated and the homemade Read moreelements made it even better. Lovely local pub with delicious food and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Bonus being only about a 2 minute walk door to door! Thank you so much for our stay. Will be recommending to friends and family :-) Hide

The space was incredibly beautiful and the perfect size for a solo holiday, I was closer to other people's houses than I thought I was going to be originally but it didn't impact the holiday as you are still far enough removed, the town is quaint and everyone is really friendly. The owners were really kind and made sure I didn't want for anything. Read moreI had such a peaceful time, diolch am rhannu'r Dl swynl gyda fi. Hide

It was a fantastic accommodation, it had everything we needed. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into it and it was an incredibly peaceful location. We would definitely go back again.
