Enjoy captivating riverside views across the Dartmouth waterfront from this welcoming, character-filled family hideaway. It’s the ideal escape for families drawn to the call of the coast. The magical harbour town of Dartmouth, set along the River Dart in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offers endless opportunities to explore. Discover Castle Cove (3 miles), a secluded sand-and-pebble beach tucked beneath cliffs and woodland, which leads on to Sugary Cove (3 miles), perfect for paddling or exploring by canoe. Both coves sit beneath the watchful presence of Dartmouth Castle (3 miles), one of the country’s most strikingly situated fortresses, with breathtaking views across the estuary and out to sea. For a different perspective, hop aboard the Dartmouth Paddle Steamer from Dartmouth Harbour, just half a mile away, and glide past Dartmouth Castle, Bayards Cove, Kingswear, and many more picturesque landmarks. Catch the ferry to Kingswear and climb aboard a steam train at the Dartmouth Steam Railway. Dartmouth is also a fantastic base for exploring the South West Coast Path.

In the months of May through to November why not attend one of the many local events, The Dartmouth Music Festival, Dartmouth Shakespeare Week, Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta and the Dartmouth Food Festival.

Step inside the first floor reached via external steps from the street where a welcoming hallway is perfect for hanging up coats and storing shoes. Enter to the left of the boathouse and you’ll find the charming double bedroom, or wander through to the beautiful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Bathed in natural light from generous picture windows, this inviting space showcases sweeping river views. Exposed beams and brickwork echo the cottage’s maritime heritage, while thoughtful homely touches create an atmosphere of complete relaxation. Savour the breathtaking riverside outlook as you unwind or linger over dinner long into the evening. A sleek, contemporary shower room completes this floor. To the right of the entrance hall, a door leads to a shower room. Continue along the hallway to reach the spacious kitchen, complete with wooden units, a tiled floor and everything you need for a relaxed self-catering stay. Directly opposite, the impressive lounge/diner features large windows framing river views and a door that opens onto your own private balcony. Settle into the plush sofa to soak up the scenery or enjoy a film on the Smart TV, while a dining table at the rear of the room provides the perfect spot for shared meals. An inviting twin bedroom completes this floor. Echoing the nautical charm of the first floor, the ground floor offers a king-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a twin bedroom, both enjoying stunning waterside views to greet you each morning. This level also includes a convenient utility cupboard and a second modern shower room. On the opposite side, you’ll find a delightful double bedroom and a cosy twin downstairs.
