This delightful house is perfect for family get-togethers and has a spacious private garden and wild meadow. Set in a beautiful riverside valley, nestled on the River Medina about 1 mile downstream from the renowned sailing town of Cowes, this location offers a unique blend of relaxation and exploration. Located within a 300-metre walk, Island Harbour Marina's tranquil waters and serene pathways are perfect for strolls, kayaking and paddleboarding. Bustling Newport can be found just 2 miles away and boasts historical treasures like Carisbrooke Castle (3.5 miles) and vibrant markets, while cycling enthusiasts can revel in the picturesque routes.

As you enter the house, you step into the welcoming hallway, which includes a convenient downstairs WC. Continuing into the property, a generously sized dining room awaits, with a charming open fireplace and glass sliding doors leading to the garden. To the right, you'll find a well-equipped open-plan kitchen featuring a central breakfast island and a door opening directly to the garden. Ascending a small step from the kitchen area, you'll enter a cosy seating space with a sofa and coffee table. This area seamlessly flows into the living room, offering access to the garden. From the living room, a doorway leads to a downstairs bathroom. From there, you'll find the entrance to the first bedroom. This family-oriented bedroom is furnished with a king bed and a bunk bed. Towards the front of the house, there's another bedroom with a king bed and an adjoining bathroom. Moving to the first floor, you'll discover the main bedroom which boasts a king-size bed to your right and an en-suite. Just across the landing to the left is the second bedroom, comprising a queen-size bed with a balcony offering beautiful views over the garden. Adjacent to this is the third bedroom, equipped with two single beds, a joy for siblings and children. A well-appointed bathroom awaits on this floor, whilst the two bedrooms enjoy stunning views of the beautiful countryside. Furthermore, an additional garden studio that accommodates up to two extra guests can be made available at an additional cost of £350 (to be requested at time of booking).
Outside the property lies a sizable, enclosed garden spanning around half an acre. This expansive space is mainly covered in a well-maintained lawn with pockets of natural wild areas, all surrounded by trees that ensure absolute privacy. You'll find various seating options among the greenery, including a ten-person table and comfortable rattan garden furniture. For those looking to embrace outdoor living, the garden offers a generous patio area with BBQ and fire pit is ideal for entertaining, seamlessly blending the charm of nature with leisure, perfect for late summer nights.

Lovely large house and garden. We were blessed with the weather and had a lovely stay on the island. There is a pub within walking distance but otherwise you will need a car to explore.

Large house suitable for big families but no home comforts arriving late in evening no milk in fridge no shower gel or toiletries in bathrooms very basic welcome pack stated even washing up liquid had to be replaced ! No emergency phone number on Isle of Wight if keysafe did not work
