The property, which welcomes ten guests across five truly stunning bedrooms, makes the perfect backdrop for a special occasion, with a choice of dining areas and a vast living space. As well as being close to Dalton-in-Furness (1.5 miles), which boasts a good range of independent shops and eateries, you’ll also be just 3 miles from the seaside town of Barrow-in-Furness. This vibrant town is renowned for its excellent indoor market, where you can pick up some fantastic local goods, and, like Dalton-in-Furness, it has a good selection of shops and restaurants. Along the coast from Barrow-in-Furness, you’ll find the wide, sandy beach of Roanhead – a lovely spot for a wild and windy walk with views of the Lakeland fells. The beach is backed by Sandscale Haws Nature Reserve – a must for any keen birdwatchers.

Follow the winding path through the pretty cottage garden to the front door. Inside, the holiday retreat oozes style and elegance, with a fabulous collection of statement furniture, artwork, and accessories set against a backdrop of striking wallpapers and quirky soft furnishings. The ground floor is home to a beautiful kitchen with all the equipment and worktop space needed to cater for a large group. There’s also a charming window seat where you can perch with a glass of wine and enjoy the leafy views across the garden. Moving through to the lounge, discover a stylish space with plenty of plush seating arranged around a wood burner and a TV. This room opens onto a conservatory-style dining room overlooking the garden, where you can gather for dinner parties and family celebrations. There are two ground-floor bedrooms – one king-size and one double – both with unique decor as well as a TV and en-suite facilities. The remaining bedrooms can be found on the first floor and are a super-king-size zip-and-link, a king-size and a double. All benefit from en-suite facilities and TVs for enjoying lazy mornings in bed.

We were a family group of 9 and loved our stay at this comfortable and relaxing cottage. Everyone enjoyed the fabulous social dinning area. The only down side would be the noise of traffic on the road nearby whilst sat in the garden.
