Plan a Cornish getaway with friends or family at this charming and deceptively spacious two-bedroom holiday home in the heart of Mylor, an attractive fishing village on the western edge of the Carrick Roads estuary. Known for its strong maritime heritage, Mylor is a hub for boating enthusiasts, with a popular yacht harbour reachable via a scenic 1.5-mile walk along Mylor Creek (or a 2-mile drive). The wider Fal River, stretching some 7 miles inland, opens up opportunities for sailing, kayaking and waterside walks. Here you will find a great cafe and even a yoga studio. Flushing Beach (2.5 miles) has calm estuary waters, shingle shores and lovely views across the river - from here you can catch a boat to Falmouth. You will find an arty atmosphere in Falmouth (4.5 miles) as well as sandy beaches, independent shops, galleries and excellent seafood restaurants. There are even saunas by the water's edge if you fancy some total relaxation interspersed with cold water dips! If you head here in June you can enjoy the Sea Shanty Festival or the Oyster Festival in August. Love a National Trust property? Head to Trelissick House and Garden (8 miles) famed for its sweeping maritime views and peaceful woodland trails.

You’ll enter into a hallway where you can drop coats and remove shoes before heading through into the bright and sociable living area, decorated in neutral tones with elegant wooden touches. The lounge flows into a conservatory, creating a light-filled space with a dining table where you can eat, sip morning coffee or read in the evenings. This is also a great spot to take some peaceful moments curled up in the large corner armchair with a good book. Large patio doors from here open straight out to the garden. The galley-style kitchen has a rustic apron sink, glossy units and everything you need for self-catering. Also on the ground floor is a bathroom with a shower over the bath, made very cosy with underfloor heating. Upstairs, are two comfortable bedrooms – a king (which can be made into twin on request) and a twin. You’ll find a handy separate WC on this level - also with underfloor heating.

Outside, the enclosed garden includes a lawn and patio areas with garden furniture so you can dine and socialise in the fresh air. The property has private parking for two cars on the driveway.

Very comfortable, luxurious, cottage with a delightful back garden, and ample car parking at the front. The village is very friendly, the local pub (great value) and the shops are a real asset.
