Fossil fans will surely make a beeline for Dinosaur land, 500 metres away, while food lovers can dive into the town’s vibrant cafe and restaurant scene. For exploring further afield, Branscombe, 11 miles, charms with its thatched cottages, working forge and watermill, while West Bay and Bridport, 11 miles, are fantastic for dramatic cliffs, beaches and a lively market town atmosphere with a quirky antiques quarter. Nearby Seaton, 7.5 miles, is home to bird-rich wetlands where you might spot waders and songbirds, and Beer, 9.5 miles, is famous for its beach and miniature train pecorama. The South West coast path also runs through Lyme Regis, making it easy to plan pretty walks; why not pack a picnic and eat in the fresh air for a scenic day out?
