With its iconic red-and-white striped lighthouse and sweeping sandy beaches, Happisburgh is an excellent base for seaside adventures, rural hikes, and relaxed days out. Start by exploring Happisburgh Beach – an expansive stretch of sand perfect for dog walking, fossil hunting, or simply breathing in the fresh sea air. A short stroll takes you to Happisburgh Lighthouse, the oldest working lighthouse in East Anglia. Sea Palling (4.5 miles) boasts Blue Flag beaches, shallow waters, and water sports equipment hire. Families will love visiting Mundesley (8.5 miles), a classic Norfolk seaside village with colourful beach huts, cafes and a friendly, laid-back vibe. Wildlife enthusiasts shouldn’t miss a trip to Hickling Broad (6.5 miles), where you can see rare birds, take a boating trip, or wander along nature trails.

A lovely & well kept cottage in a lovely quiet area, but still handy to visit all the places in the area. The owners have thought of everything, very dog friendly even down to an outside dog hot/cold shower. Will definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area. We all had a lovely fantastic week. Thank you
