Escape to the Warwickshire countryside with a stay in this delightful single-storey cottage, set just 3 miles from historic Stratford-upon-Avon. With one flexible bedroom and plenty of pet-friendly features, it’s an ideal rural base for couples, friends, and their pups planning days of adventure. Enjoy local walks, including routes along the nearby River Stour (river levels permitting). Stratford-upon-Avon enchants with its Tudor architecture and world-famous links to William Shakespeare; visit his birthplace, former school, and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The town also offers excellent independent shops, cosy tearooms, and traditional pubs. Other nearby highlights include the county town of Warwick and its medieval castle, Hidcote Gardens (NT), Kiftsgate Court Gardens, and the artistic haven of Compton Verney (all within 11 miles). The North Cotswold towns of Chipping Campden, Broadway, Moreton-in-Marsh, and Stow-on-the-Wold are less than a 30-minute drive away, offering charming mellow-brick cottages and scenic sightseeing.

The single-storey redbrick cottage sits alongside one other holiday retreat on a working farm. Once inside, leave muddy boots in the hallway, before heading through to the inviting lounge which boasts a calming colour palette and comfortable seating to sink into after a long walk. Unwind in here with your favourite book or a classic film on the TV. Just off the lounge is a handy shower room. The separate kitchen/diner is a bright, open space with everything needed to rustle up a delicious home-cooked feast. Positioned under the window is a cute dining table for two. When it’s time for bed, retire to the super-king-size bedroom with its homely touches for a good night’s sleep – the bed converts to two separate singles on request, ensuring flexibility. Rounding off the accommodation is a refreshing en-suite shower room.

Outside, sip a sundowner on your private patio and enjoy the tranquil views across the open fields. You’ll find numerous walks directly from the property, and there’s a handy outdoor washing station for four-pawed guests. Private parking is available.

Great find. The cottage is only 3 miles from the town centre, which overall was a 10 min drive. Lovely views of the lambs skipping in the fields and daffodils. Owner was very friendly and was there if you needed anything. Cottage was lovely and warm. Easy walk to the nearest village where there is a pub across fields and the banks of the river.
