Get the whole group together at this handsome period house set in beautiful private grounds just outside the charming village of Buchlyvie - on the fringe of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Sleeping 16 people across eight bedrooms, it’s ideal for large families and groups who are in search of a spacious, grand retreat to call home while they celebrate a special occasion together. Head to Flanders Moss Nature Reserve (2 miles) - one of the largest remaining raised bogs in Britain – and you may be lucky enough to spot deer, owls and otters. Or visit the impressive Doune Castle (10.5 miles) for a glimpse into medieval Scotland. You may recognise it from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Game of Thrones and Outlander. Animal-lovers will also love a trip to the Blair Drummond Safari Park (11 miles). Further afield, get your history fix at the mighty Stirling Castle (15 miles) and the National Wallace Monument (15 miles).

Step inside through the grand entrance hall and you’ll discover a period home designed for entertaining on a generous scale. The beautiful drawing room with its open fire is perfect for relaxed evenings together, while the formal dining room - sets the scene for a long, celebratory meal. A well-stocked study with books, board games and a Smart TV offers a quieter retreat, while the games’ room with its pool table and dartboard keeps everyone occupied. Heading up the sweeping staircase to the first floor, you’ll find five individually styled bedrooms - a super-king-size, two king-size rooms (one with an en-suite bathroom with a Villeroy and Boch bath and shower), and two doubles (one with an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath). A family bathroom with a bath and shower completes the first-floor layout. The second floor adds two twin bedrooms, a further double and a final family bathroom with a bath and shower. A handy additional bathroom with a bath completes the sumptuous layout of this fine, historic home.

Step outside and you’ll discover extensive, beautifully maintained gardens. Relax and spend a long, lazy evening on the lawn or go for a calming walk through the woodlands. Private parking is available for 10 cars.
