Historic Painswick (22 miles), with its 99 yew trees and stunning rococo garden, makes a lovely day out, as does Westonbirt National Arboretum (9.5 miles) and the National Trust’s Dyrham Park (7 miles). For shopping and eating out, the vibrant cities of Bath and Bristol are within 15 miles.
