Set within the peaceful surroundings of Gnoll Country Park, this stone-built cottage places you at the heart of one of Neath’s most beautiful green spaces for a relaxed family break with plenty to do right on your doorstep. Discover the park’s expansive grounds, where lakes, woodland, and open areas offer endless room to roam. Enjoy a bite to eat at the on-site cafe or make use of the park’s walking trails. For a day at the coast, travel 14 miles south to Mumbles, a popular seaside destination known for its ice-cream parlours, eateries, and lively pier and promenade. From here, you’re well placed to uncover the Gower Peninsula, home to some of Wales’s most breathtaking beaches. Head 14 miles north and you’ll reach the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, a magical landscape of woodland gorges and cascading falls.

Once the groundskeeper’s lodge, this characterful cottage promises a warm and inviting retreat. Step through the door into the atmospheric dining room, where the original tiled floor and generous table for six set the scene for sociable meals and slow holiday breakfasts. The adjoining kitchen is wonderfully equipped with a Belfast sink and ample worktop space – perfect for culinary adventures after a day out. As evening falls, make your way to the cosy living room and unwind beside the crackling wood burner, fuelled by sustainably sourced logs from Gnoll Country Park. A stylish shower room with a large walk-in shower completes the ground floor. Upstairs, you’ll find two king-size bedrooms and a twin, each thoughtfully finished with a blend of period furnishings and calm tones to create an inviting setting for restful nights. A stylish family bathroom with a brick feature wall rounds off the interior.

Outside, private gardens wrap around the cottage, with a patio terrace to the rear and side for al fresco dining, and a seating area at the front where you can soak up tranquil views of the pond and local wildlife. With parking for up to three cars, coming and going is effortless – leaving you free to settle into holiday mode from the moment you arrive.
