It sits beyond the owner’s house and outbuildings of the former farm. The property is conveniently located on the lane to the neighbouring village and beach of Seatown and is within walking distance (300 yards) of a pub and local shop. A 7-mile drive down the coast will take you to Lyme Regis, a popular tourist destination where you can visit the Marine Aquarium, Dinosaurland Fossil Museum or even try your hand at a spot of deep-sea fishing (season and weather permitting). There are a number of local walks, some of which are on the fossil trails and you can even visit Monmouth Beach (7 miles) to view some impressive fossils on the beach.

On entering the property through a wooden stable door, there are bedrooms on either side of the hall. Both are spacious and light double bedrooms, each containing a king-size wooden sleigh bed and a selection of attractive wooden bedroom furniture, wooden beams to the ceilings and exposed brickwork features. Each bedroom has a set of French doors leading to the outside terrace, and each has its own en-suite with stunning slate flooring, one is a bathroom with a bath and shower over, the other is a shower room. Going further down the hall and up the beautiful oak staircase you enter an open-plan space comprising the kitchen, dining area and lounge. The room is light and airy with exposed wooden rafters, brickwork features, sloping ceilings and skylights. There is a comfortable seating area where you can watch the Smart TV, as well as a desk area, dining table and a fully equipped kitchen with cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher.

To the exterior of the property, there is a large terrace with a seating area to soak in all the nature surrounding you. There is parking available for one car.

Lovely cottage in a great location. The owners were really friendly and welcoming and even bought an Easter egg for my son. Beds were comfy, showers worked great and the living area was a good size with really comfortable sofas for lounging on. Well equipped with great decor. We walked to Seatown several times which was fantastic for fossil huntingRead more and the woodfired pizzas at the hut were delicious. Easy drive to Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Bridport and other great places. Would definitely come back. Hide

Comfortable cottage in a perfect location for exploring coast and countryside. Although quite close to a busy road we were surprised how quiet and peaceful the cottage was. We enjoyed some fabulous meals out in the surrounding area . There are so many beautiful places to visit within a few miles of Chideock. We definitely plan to return.

Lovely cottage with two large bedrooms and two ensuites. Owners are friendly but not obtrusive, and live nearby so on hand to deal with potential problems (not that there were any). We had a very enjoyable week there.
