We had such a lovely stay at Laund Cottage! Every aspect of our trip was great. The cottage was kitted out with everything we could need (including an air fryer - bonus!!) and done to an exceptionally high standard. Gary & Karen even provided bits for our dog to make him feel right at home. The guest handbook was shared in advance so we could read Read moreabout the cottage, local walks and shops/pubs, etc which was appreciated. The location was superb and the view from the hot tub was unmatched! We cant thank Gary & Karen enough for such a wonderful stay. Hide

A lovely little gem of a cottage owned by two great people, Gary and Karen who were helpful and friendly. A must do is feed George the goat a slice of bread, a lovely fella! Great spot for local walks, shops and fab restaurants and the views from the cottage are fantastic. Would give this cottage (our 17th in four years) a 5* plus for sure.

Karen and Gary made us feel very welcome at their cottage and we arrived after a long drive with Prosecco chilling in the garden which was a lovely surprise and the homemade flapjacks are amazing. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need including air fryer. A secure enclosed area to let your dog roam without any worrieRead mores. Teddy (dog) loved seeing George (goat) every morning. Can recommend for walking Hardcastle Crags, Wentworth Castle, Trans Pennine Trials, The Last Of The Summer Wine walk. We would highly recommend this cottage to stay for the cleanliness, attention to detail and the owners, if there was anything you needed they are just a WhatsApp away, as they both respected your privacy. What a glorious weekend we had at Laund Cottage! The owners very kindly messaged us before our trip to give us in depth instructions on how to get there as Sat Nav's can be a bit iffy, as well as assuring us they are only a message away if we need anything. The cottage was toasty and warm when we arrived with all the kit to set up the log burnerRead more. The interior was cosy and comfortable and every room was well decorated with quality furniture. A lovely note welcoming us in the kitchen with a hamper of homemade items which were such a treat, and the fixings to make a brew which is always appreciated. The kitchen is perfect for making a quick breakfast or a whole meal depending on your fancy. The hot tub was ready to go and offers a brilliant view of the area during the day and the stars at night. A binder of information is also provided which explained how to use everything in the home and also restaurants, attractions and walks around the local area. They warn you the walk to Slaithwaite is down a steep hill, heed the warning as we did not and I am still feeling it today! All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend this cottage. But don't everyone book it up, as we definitely want to go back! Hide
