The property, which welcomes six guests, makes the perfect base for families and groups of friends looking to explore the rugged Cardigan Bay coastline. A short, 4-mile journey brings you to the university town of Aberystwyth, where a plethora of independent shops and eateries line its historic streets. After a spot of retail therapy, take a sunset stroll along the Victorian promenade or climb to the top of Constitution Hill to admire the panoramic views across the bay. Inland, keen walkers can explore the magnificent Cambrian Mountains or the Haford Estate (both within 20 miles) and the Coastal Path.

The attractive converted stone barn beautifully blends original aspects with striking, contemporary design features. From the entrance hallway, where you’ll find space to store coats and boots, head through to the heart of the home – a spacious lounge/kitchen/diner with wooden floors, leafy vistas, and a magnificent wood burner in a stone fireplace taking centre stage. At one end of the room is a sleek and vibrant kitchen area with glossy units and all the equipment needed for a self-catering holiday. There’s also a large dining table for hosting dinner parties and family celebrations. Upstairs, via a wooden staircase, you’ll find three stylish king-size bedrooms, all with calming decor and zip-and-link beds offering flexible sleeping arrangements. The family bathroom completes the accommodation.

Outside, the patio garden is a lovely spot for an al fresco supper on a summer’s evening, or a morning coffee as you listen to the birds in the surrounding trees. Ample private parking is available.

We recently stayed at this wonderful cottage in Aberystwyth with our four children and two dogs, and we honestly couldnt have asked for a better place to stay. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how exceptionally clean and well kept the cottage was. Everything was spotless, fresh, and beautifully maintained. The attention to detail really Read morestood out and made it feel welcoming, comfortable, and truly like a home away from home. Travelling as a family of six, plus two dogs, can sometimes be challenging but the cottage was perfectly suited to us. There was plenty of space for everyone, and it felt both family-friendly and dog-friendly without compromising on quality or comfort. Two of our children have additional needs one with Type 1 diabetes and the other with epilepsy so finding accommodation that feels safe, practical, and supportive is incredibly important to us. The cottage gave us that reassurance and peace of mind. What truly stood out, however, was the compassion shown by the hosts during a very frightening moment. During our stay, our son experienced his first seizure in over seven years, and we had to call 999 for emergency assistance. It was an incredibly stressful situation for our family, but the hosts were extremely accommodating, understanding, and supportive throughout. Their kindness, patience, and reassurance during such a difficult time meant more to us than we can properly express. Its rare to find somewhere that combines such high standards of cleanliness and comfort with genuine care and compassion from the owners. We are so grateful for how we were treated and wouldnt hesitate to recommend this cottage to others especially families, pet owners, and those who may need that extra level of understanding and flexibility. Thank you again for such a lovely stay and for your exceptional kindness when we needed it most. Hide
