This traditional brick-and-flint cottage has heaps of seaside charm and offers a warm welcome for couples or small families. It’s in the heart of Sheringham, which has something to do in every season, whether it’s days on the beach, sea fishing, stand-up paddleboarding, walking the coastal path, a round of golf, a trip to a museum or browsing independent shops. There are places to eat to suit all tastes too. Visit Sheringham Park, 2.5 miles away, for sweeping parkland and ancient woods, or board the heritage train to charming Holt, 7.5 miles away, where you’ll find fabulous shops, galleries and cafes. For nature lovers, the bird centre at Cley Marshes is just 7 miles away, and if you head to Blakeney, 9.5 miles away, you’ll have the chance to spot seals on an unforgettable boat trip. For another great beach, a Victorian pier and the family-friendly Amazona Zoo, Cromer is 4 miles away.

Set at the end of a terrace, the property extends over three storeys and is accessed via five steps up to the front door. From the tiled entrance hall, open-tread stairs lead down to the lower-ground-floor kitchen/diner/snug. This charming room has wooden floorboards and countertops, pale cabinetry and a wood burner set into a brick fireplace – making this a wonderful place in which to relax after a day in the fresh air. As the cook gets to work, making the most of the electric oven and gas hob, there are armchairs to sink into as well as a centrally placed dining table for four. Back up on the ground floor, you’ll find a bright and airy lounge, with soft seating and a Smart TV – room for everyone to get cosy and stream a favourite movie. A set of characterful cottage-style stairs takes you up to the first floor (please note these are quite steep), where there are two delightful bedrooms, both with hanging space and sets of drawers, sharing a refreshing family shower over bath with the WC separate on this level.

The enclosed rear courtyard is accessed via a stable door from the entrance hall. Here, you’ll find a pretty seating area with raised plant beds and a dining table sheltered under a pergola, ideal for morning coffees, sundowners or al fresco dining as the stars come out. While there is no parking allocated for this property, there is on street parking (subject to availability) and the nearest pay-and-display public car park is only around 200 metres away.
