Stretching for almost 2 miles along the Atlantic’s edge, Widemouth Bay is just 3 miles south of seaside town Bude and accessible along the South West Coast Path. A surfing hot spot, the sands here are wide and golden, while at the southern end Black Rock Beach presents an ideal opportunity for rock pooling enthusiasts. The South West Coast Path links the bay to Bude – visit for shops, cafes and canal-side strolls or, for a unique swimming experience, head to the tidal pool at Summerleaze Beach. Further north, the Hartland Peninsula sits on the border between Devon and Cornwall. The former harbour at Hartland Quay (19 miles) has rugged cliffs and dramatic rock formations, while a similar distance south, Tintagel is famous for its iconic castle, inextricably linked with the legend of King Arthur. Stop en route at Boscastle (13 miles) – the village’s beautiful harbour is steeped in history while inland, the Valency Valley is one of the few wooded areas in North Cornwall.

A wave-shaped roof and clever reverse-level layout confirm the high-end design credentials of this chic seaside property. Step inside and three blissful bedrooms are on the ground floor – choose between one with a king-size bed.  The  further two  each have a king-size zip-and-link bed which can, on request, be made up instead as two singles and one of these has its own en-suite shower room, and ensuring comfort for all there’s a separate Family Bathroom on the ground floor.. The first of your two social spaces is also on this lower floor – a cosy snug with bean-bag seating and sliding doors onto the terrace and lawned garden beyond – along with a handy utility room. Take the stairs to the first floor and the open-plan living space is light, airy and features a shapely beamed ceiling. French windows open onto a pair of Juliet balconies, one close to the lounge area – which has a Smart TV for home-style entertainment – and the other by a beautiful dining suite. Nearby, the sleek kitchen area has all the essentials for fuss-free self-catering, while a small study area is tucked behind the lounge for anyone who needs to stay connected to the outside world. Completing the upper-floor layout, the master bedroom is stunning, with its own Juliet balcony, king-size bed, TV and stylish en-suite bathroom, together with a separate Cloakroom/WC

Enjoy far-reaching views over the coast and surrounding countryside courtesy of the first-floor‘s Juliet balconies, or head out into the gardens for your fill of fresh air and sunshine. To the front of the property there’s driveway parking, a lawn and a decked area with outdoor furniture; to the rear you’ll find a furnished patio, raised lawn and a handy external shower. Adding all-weather appeal to any holiday here, the garage has a darts board, table tennis table and ample space to store surf boards and beach gear.

Beautiful house, decorated to a high standard and very comfortable. The location to the beach and the upstairs views are fabulous. Plenty of room for a large family group and two dogs. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful property. Bright, airy, spacious and in an amazing location with views over the bay. Perfect for the 4 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs on our trip. With enough space for an additional 2 people. The bonus of the wine fridge and small fridge downstairs meant plenty of space for chilling drinks without taking up too much space in thRead moree large larder style fridge freezer in the kitchen. Pretty much every amenity you could need for a self catering holiday home. Including reasonable broadband speeds and a big selection of games to keep everyone entertained. Only a short 5 minute stroll from Widemouth bay beach with a great coffee shop and awesome views. Several other pubs, restaurants and a farm shop with 10 minutes of the house, all being an easy walk and all having views of the sea. Widemouth Manor is slightly further away but great food, service and drinks makes it a worthwhile visit. We will definitely be back! Hide
