Set on a family-orientated holiday park, this handsome single-storey lodge is ideal for getaways with the children but could also accommodate several couples or a small group of friends. The park is tucked into the hillside, about 300 metres from beautiful Tresaith Beach, renowned for its cliffside waterfall and rock pools, and also a great base for swimming, surfing, kayaking and sailing. If you don’t feel like cooking, the village pub, also just metres away, serves classic dishes, and it’s only 8 miles to Cardigan where there’s a choice of shops and eateries – plus the historic castle. Walkers can stroll along the coast path, enjoying stunning views and looking out for seals and dolphins in the water as you go. Head to Cenarth Falls (8 miles) for a riverside wander and afternoon tea, or to New Quay, 12 miles away, for a dolphin-spotting boat trip.

Head up three steps to the decking and the front door, strolling inside to find a bright, modern space with a vaulted ceiling and floor-to-ceiling glazing. The welcoming lounge area features soft seating, a Smart TV and a pebble-effect electric fire – perfect for snuggling up after a day by the sea. In the U-shaped kitchen you’ll have all the essential appliances for creating hearty meals, with a dishwasher to make cleaning up quick and easy, and there’s a spacious table where everyone can sit down together. When night falls, all three bedrooms are on the same level, including a sumptuous double with a dressing table, walk-in wardrobe, Smart TV and an en-suite shower room. The other two bedrooms – a double and a twin – share a family bathroom which has a separate bath and shower.

To bask in the sunshine or feel a fresh sea breeze, throw open the patio doors in the living area and step onto your private decking, which is equipped with furniture for al fresco drinks and dining. Another benefit of this inviting property is private parking for one car.

So glad we took a chance and booked Brighside lodge. We couldn't find any reviews so was a bit apprehensive making the booking. However the lodge is beautiful, bright, comfortable and very spacious. It is well equipped, large freezer, dishwasher. The outside area easily accommodates six with a large table and comfortable sofa. We had sunny until itRead more set over the seaview. Bedrooms are all a good size with storage. Comfortable bed. Powerfully showers. The lodge has a lot of privacy. Also we had no problems parking two cars directly outside the lodge. Gwalia falls is a very quiet resort set on a hill. Five minute walk down the hill to the beautiful beach half of which is dog friendly. Ten minutes back up, it is steep but we (60 year olds) managed no problem. Great Sunday roast in the Ship but book early as the food runs out quickly. Great bar next door that serves pizzas. Both have outdoor seating overlooking beach. We loved the area, Aberporth has a couple of takeaways restaurant but main food shops are in Cardigan. Hide
