A family stay at this welcoming holiday home in the harbour area of Ilfracombe means you’re perfectly placed to enjoy the best of this vibrant North Devon seaside town without needing to jump in the car. Start your visit with a relaxed wander around the pretty harbour just metres away, where colourful fishing boats bob on the water and the narrow streets are lined with independent shops, galleries and plenty of places to eat. From the harbour, you can also hop aboard one of the many boat trips available. Choose from wildlife-watching excursions, fishing trips or leisurely sightseeing cruises along the dramatic coastline. Alternatively, visit the Landmark Theatre, where you can catch family-friendly performances, live music and seasonal events – an excellent option for an evening out or a rainy-day activity. For classic beach days, travel 6.5 miles to Woolacombe, famous for its 3-mile stretch of golden sand and great surf.

Enter through the porch, where you’ll find space for coats and boots as well as a handy washer/dryer, before stepping into the welcoming open-plan living area. The lounge, kitchen, and dining areas create a warm and sociable setting for unwinding after days out exploring. The dining area sits one step up from the lounge and provides a lovely spot to plan tomorrow’s adventures and savour family feasts cooked up in the sleek, well-appointed kitchen. After dinner, head over to the lounge space and sink into the comfortable sofa for a cosy night in with your favourite series streaming on the Smart TV. Upstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms, finished with hints of coastal blues. Choose from a master super king-size bedroom, (zip and link option to twin on request at time of booking) or two top-floor king-size rooms, all served by a family bathroom with a shower over the bath.

While there is no garden, the property is ideally placed just 50 metres from the harbour and a sandy beach for morning strolls, paddling or sampling seafood by the water. Parking is subject to availability in the public car park opposite the property.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It was in great condition, beautifully decorated and very well maintained. The location is fantastic, right next to the harbour, which made it ideal with kids and the dog as we could easily pop out whenever we wanted. The car park just across the road was also really helpful. The owners have clearly put a lotRead more of thought into the finishing touches. The bathrooms were stocked with toiletries, there was a bottle of bubbles and snacks waiting for us on arrival, and even a welcome hamper for the dog which was such a thoughtful gesture. We had a quick question during our stay and the owner responded straight away, being friendly and very helpful. We would happily stay again. Hide
