Set just a short walk away from the Medina River, this stylish period property has access to all that East Cowes and Cowes has to offer. This area is known for its strong links to the sailing community and there are many events to enjoy throughout the summer months. Cowes, which is just a short walk or drive (via the floating bridge), is home to Cowes Week, one of the longest-running sailing regattas in the world and this gorgeous house is the perfect base for both crew and spectators alike. Here you can enjoy exploring local pebbled beaches and a small town centre, which offers cafes, pubs and restaurants. Osborne House (1.5 miles) is a must-visit, offering a tranquil setting where you can stroll through the gardens or marvel at the opulence of the state apartments.

Enter this three-storey period property through the enclosed porch area, which is a perfect place to drop off beach shoes and wipe clean any muddy paws. From here you are met with a striking hallway leading firstly to an inviting dining room with a large banquet table, an excellent place to debrief after a long day out exploring the island. There is also a beautiful bay window with comfortable seating, ideal for watching the world go by. Heading back into the hallway, you’ll find the kitchen which is well equipped with a Range cooker with gas hob and electric ovens, dishwasher, coffee machine, fridge and microwave. In the corner of this country-style kitchen, you’ll also find a cosy corner table with built-in benches, the perfect place to plan the day’s adventures over breakfast. A utility room houses a washer/dryer, a second fridge and freezer and a small downstairs WC. The final room on the ground floor is a light and airy conservatory which overlooks the garden, ideal for curling up with a good book away from all the hustle and bustle. Taking the staircase up to the first floor, you’ll find the first of two lounges offering ample seating, a SkyTV and stunning views of the river. Why not sit out on the terrace here and enjoy the wonderful sunset skies after a long day out? Here at the front of the house is the first of four bedrooms which all offer breathtaking sea views. The main bathroom features a free-standing bath, rain shower and WC. And towards the back of the house, you’ll be greeted with the second lounge which offers incredible panoramic views of The Solent and features a wood burner (first basket of logs provided) – it’s the perfect place to kick back, relax and watch the sailing events that Cowes is famous for. Upstairs on the top floor, are three king-size bedrooms, one of which features an original feature fireplace and traditional Georgian sink area giving the room plenty of character. The final room on this floor is the modern shower room offering a spacious shower and WC.

Outside, there is a private pebbled garden area with seating and a BBQ for al fresco dining in the summer sunshine. There’s roadside parking available and a small car park less than half a mile away if required (subject to availability).

An absolutely beautiful house in a fantastic location. Lovely and clean and all the mod cons required to set up base for the week. We hope to visit this property again in the future.

A superbly located and very spacious property dating from the 1930s I believe. Accommodation on roughly three floors with four decent bedrooms which are all well apportioned. Some quirky additions included and we especially enjoyed the views from the Pirate Room.

The most wonderful location with unmatched views of the sea. The biggest compliment I can pay is that whilst my family wanted to go and explore the beautiful Isle Of Wight, I just wanted to sit in my chair and watch the boats out of the window. Could not recommend this house enough.

Second time weve been to the lovely house. Everything was as good as before. We especially love east cowes and the fact the house is right by the esplanade. Perfect for two small boys.
