This is a really lovely, cosy cottage. It ticks all the boxes and the location is perfect. It has a very homely feel to it and the log burner was really welcome on the dreary days.

Moraine is in a stunning location with amazing walks literally from the doorstep. We had a truly wonderful holiday and were lucky enough to enjoy fabulous weather for our entire stay. The cottage itself was comfortable, with everything you need provided (apart from towels, so remember to pack your own!) It really was a home from home and we all aRead moreppreciated the thoughtful touches such as biscuits and nice coffee left in a basket in the kitchen for us. The garden was very pretty and perfectly safe for our adventurous doggie to play in. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Moraine and would love to go back to Ravenscar ourselves in the future. Hide

Excellent welcome pack with lots of information and clear instructions how to use fire and cooker. Excellent cafe 1/2 mile away. Shops are 2-3 miles as the crow flies but closer to 10 by road. That was the only downside of a brilliant stay.

Lovely views of ROBIN HOODS BAY from upstairs, and nearby RAVENSCAR STATION tearooms is highly recommended. Nearby Nat Trust tearoom not so good, with plastic sandwiches, unlike the Station tearooms, where they're made on spot. Often not possible to park out front as vans from opposite [seems to be a transport business] park on road, even when yoRead moreu're already parked. This causes traffic pinch point. We found WHITBY much more pleasant to SCARBOROUGH, which is a bit tatty; bonus is WHITBY has very low petrol prices [136.7 in June 24]. So many good views of Robin Hoods Bay from multitude of local tracks, which are ideal for dog walking. Hide

Loved our stay in Ravenscar, what a beautiful place. The cottage was lovely, home from home. It had everything you could need, the kitchen had everything you would need to make a meal. The beds were super comfortable, I would love to know where the mattress is from in the main bedroom as we're just going to buy a new one. We had lovely walks to Robin Hood's Bay, the radar station, and to see the seals. Situated well to visit Robin Hood's Bay, Scarborough, Whitby, Saltburn on sea, Staiths and Rushwick Bay. Would definitely visit again. Hide
