This attractive cottage, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery, enjoys a tranquil location within Eryri National Park (Snowdonia). The property, which welcomes six guests across three bedrooms, is in the tiny village of Brithdir, 3.5 miles from the market town of Dolgellau. With its historic buildings and narrow streets, Dolgellau is bursting with Welsh charm. The town has many traditional pubs and cosy cafes and every summer it hosts a lively music festival. As expected, the surrounding area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Popular local walking routes include the Torrent Walk, the Mawddach Trail, and the climb to the summit of Cader Idris. You can also visit iconic beauty spots such as Dolgoch Falls (13 miles) or try a whole host of water sports at Bala Lake (16 miles). For a day at the coast, journey to the bustling resort of Barmouth (13 miles) to enjoy a picnic on the beach or join the long-distance Wales Coast Path.

The rural retreat is decorated in a contemporary style, with a calming colour scheme and an array of homely touches to make you feel relaxed. Leave walking gear in the boot/utility room, before moving through to the inviting lounge to snuggle up on one of the sofas and watch a film on the Smart TV. On chilly nights, fire up the wood burner-effect fire to create a cosy atmosphere. The stylish kitchen has everything needed for a self-catering getaway, and there’s a sleek breakfast bar for perching with a morning coffee. A step downwards leads to the conservatory-style dining room where you can share mealtimes together whilst enjoying the mountain views. Upstairs, three gorgeous bedrooms await, all with plush linens and plenty of storage for your holiday attire. Choose from a king-size, a twin, or a super-king-size that can be made up as a twin on request. The king-size bedroom has its own, en-suite shower room, and you’ll also find the family bathroom on this level. Please note, the first-floor rooms have sloping ceilings and you may experience restricted head height in some areas.

Outside, soak up the scenery in the enclosed garden, which features a patio area with furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining, along with a covered seating area – the perfect spot for a sundowner after a day of outdoor adventure. Private parking is available for two cars.
