Situated in an elevated private location with outstanding views and lots of beautiful walking trails directly from your door or close by. The local pubs offering good food and the community shop will keep you stocked up with the essentials. Tamar Valley offers abundant outdoor space with trails for families to explore. Both Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor are easily accessible allowing immersion in the natural environment, spotting wildlife out in the countryside. The National Trusts Cotehele House and Quay is a short 5 minute drive, and the home and gardens are beautiful, set by the gorgeous Tamar River. At Lydford Gorge (13 miles), adrenaline-seekers can enjoy tree surfing amidst treetops, navigating high rope bridges and zip wires. Other days out include the nearby market town of Tavistock (7 miles), the Tamar Trails Centre (4 miles) and historic Morwellham Quay (6 miles). Just over the Tamar Bridge is the city of Plymouth where you can visit the coast, aquarium or enjoy a bit of shopping. Or just over 30 mins away is the beautiful coastal town of Looe and the magical harbour of Polperro next along the coast. Trains run nearby from Gunnislake to Plymouth on the Tamar Valley Line and the property also benefits from being on the Bude to Plymouth bus route, allowing your to explore the North Cornish Coast, historic Launceston, Saltash and Plymouth without the need to drive. 

Head straight through to the sizeable, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner to marvel at the views and pull the great glass doors open on fine, sunny days. Put the kettle on to make a cup of tea to enjoy with the freshly baked Cornish scones you have bought in a Cornish bakery during your day out. Carry your snack over to one of the comfortable sofas, with soft comfy cushions, and unwind for a spell in front of your current box set on the Smart TV. Play games, read your books and decide who is going to rustle up the next delicious feast over in the kitchen area. This chic space encompasses all you need to assist you in your endeavours. Set the table inside or out, then dine in style as you take in the magnificent views. When night falls, make your way through to the two beautifully presented bedrooms. The luxurious super king master bedroom (can be made up as twin on request) has its own TV and benefits from fabulous countryside views which you can enjoy while sipping tea in bed, whilst guests sleeping in the inviting double room next door can also enjoy the light streaming through the windows and overlooking the front garden. Completing the property is a stylish shower room.

Outside the property benefits from plenty of private outdoor space - to the rear of the property there is a large, enclosed lawn as well as a wonderful deck with garden furniture where you can sit and admire the fabulous views with a drink in hand or fire up the BBQ and enjoy al fresco dining. At the front of the property there is a further lawned area where the wisteria blooms in early summer. Guests are also welcome to exercise dogs on the adjacent paddock. There is private parking for two cars on the driveway.

Excellent, well equipped cottage with a lovely garden and views across the valley. Good location for exploring eastern Cornwall and Dartmoor, and easily accessible. Owners are brilliant and went out of their way to be helpful. Lovely local pub/restaurant.

A lovely cottage; well equipped and in a great spot for exploring both Devon and Cornwall. We enjoyed the views and the peaceful location. Great hosts who were responsive and helpful. Would definitely return.

A delightful, beautifully converted and well equipped cottage. Set in glorious Devon countryside with lovely views and hosts who do all they can to ensure their visitors have a super holiday. The icing on the cake for us was a secure fenced garden for our dog.

Loved our visit to Wisteria cottage, absolutely amazing property with everything you could need, and the owner was available if needed. But we had no issues during our stay. Beautiful countryside views! Our dog loved the paddock. Definitely would book again!

Daphne & Ray hosted us incredibly last minute after we had to leave another holiday rental after one night because of damp & cold. Despite the short notice, we arrived at Wisteria Lodge to find it immaculate, plus heated floors, brilliant facilities and brand new appliances/kitchenware. The biscuits were also greatly appreciated after quite a streRead moressful day :-) the lodge is easy to get to, has private off road parking and is a lovely place to stay. Wow ...what a lovely lodge Was fully equipped with everything you could think of even down to dog bowls ,little dog gifts. Really peaceful Location & lots of places to walk the dogs. The host was very friendly & accommodating nothing was to much trouble was available by email if we needed anything. Would definitely stay here again & totally Read morerecommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing break away. Hide
