Escape with your loved ones to this gorgeous semi-detached cottage located in Downend, outside Newport. Sleeping six people across three bedrooms, it’s ideal for families or groups of friends yearning for a stylish base to call home while they explore the Isle of Wight together. Set off to explore Robin Hill (0.5 miles), a woodland adventure park where you can conquer epic rides and swing in the treetops. Alternatively, savour some rich flavours at The Garlic Farm (1.5 miles), where you’ll find walking trails and a garlic tasting room. Or make your way to Seaclose Park (3 miles) to check out the skate park and bowling green.

Step inside the holiday home and you’ll be welcomed by a bright open-plan kitchen/dining area. Head down a step to the inviting lounge and make yourself at home in this beautiful boho-inspired space. When it’s time to eat, head back to the farmhouse-style kitchen/dining area to prepare your favourite dishes, which you can share around the bench-style dining table while you soak up the beautiful garden views. At the end of the day, climb the charming cottage-style stairs and you’ll find the master bedroom with a generous king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. The rest of this floor is dedicated to a highly versatile family suite. The space comprises two interconnecting rooms – one king-size bedroom and an adjoining bunk room that’s stocked with books and games for the kids. A second en-suite shower room completes the layout. Please be aware that the cottage is in a central location close to Robin Hill, and one side is situated near a main road and traffic lights. The double-glazed windows help to reduce noise, but it might still be noticeable on occasions, especially to light sleepers.

Step outside into the wonderful garden and unwind over a BBQ feast with your loved ones. Please note that the garden is not fully enclosed; there are hedges. Keep an eye out for the friendly peacocks that occasionally visit. There is a decked area at the back of the garden: one side leads to the lookout; the other leads to a larger terrace with seating in front of the lodge (lodge not currently in use). Both areas offer pleasant spots to relax and enjoy the mature garden and its fantastic wildlife, including birds and squirrels. A small gate at the back of the garden leads through wild woodlands to access the Downs and the walk to The Garlic Farm. Part of the garden is private access only, and this is clearly signposted. There is private parking for three cars.

Lovely property in a fantastic location to explore the whole island. Great service from the team when we had a problem, solved very quickly. Friendly peacocks made daily visits, which the children loved. Some traffic noise during the day but very little at night. A great holiday!

Lovely property, surprising very warm thanks to effective heating for a cottage! Big driveway and great location! Peacocks were only around during the day so no noise levels at night we went for takeover so road noise was loud with the modified traffic but regular traffic wasnt bad at all. Lovely big open spaces and lots of games good for adults anRead mored kids! We had an absolutely great stay. However there was no bbq despite being included in the listing and we had to guess the WiFi password (took a good few hours) as it was written incorrectly and the holiday support lines were closed all day for training on our check-in day so were not able to have this rectified. Neighbour is lovely and very helpful! Hide
