Discover the twin towns of Lynton and Lynmouth in the Exmoor National Park from this spacious and welcoming first & second-floor apartment, ideal for friends and families. Set in the heart of historic Lynton, the elevated south facing property has views over the ancient village to Exmoor, and is just a few steps away from the funicular and the center of the village. Also, just a couple of hundred yards away, is the famous Valley of Rock with its wild goats, rugged scenery, views across the Bristol Channel and spectacular cricket pitch! In the village browse the shops, see a movie at one of the UK’s smallest cinemas (seating just 68 people), and hop on the Victorian funicular cliff railway that takes you down to Lynmouth and its picturesque harbour. Enjoy a delicious meal or afternoon tea in one of the many fabulous restaurants and cafés. Hiking the many beautiful trails is the main activity but cycling, horse riding, kayaking and golf, are all available nearby, as are the family attractions of Watermouth Castle, Exmoor Zoo and Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park are within 17 miles. The vast sandy beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde, Saunton Sands and Westward Ho! are all within the same 30 to 40 minute range and a bus stop opposite the house is connected to them all! Lynton and Lynmouth hold many annual events throughout the year including the Lyn Valley Classic car show, Dark Skies Festival and the Cliff Railway Day Steampunk & Victorian Gathering.

Inside the property, take the steps up to the first floor and enter the large, light and bright apartment. You’ll immediately be drawn to the enticing views - over Lynton to Exmoor - from the bay window in the lounge. Snuggle up in an armchair with a book and watch the weather rolling in and out across the hills. Retaining many original Victorian features - this welcoming room has a choice of comfortable seating around a wood burner – perfect for a lazy winter’s evening as you enjoy a favourite movie on the Smart TV. The spacious kitchen/diner is beautifully fitted out with modern appliances, including an induction hob with double oven, built-in microwave, coffee machine, Ninja air fryer, dishwasher and 4 slice toaster. On this level you will also find a family bathroom with bath and shower. Completing this floor is a children’s snug, with a sofa, games and another TV: a great option for younger members of the group. On the upper floor are three well-appointed comfortable and spacious bedrooms - with yet more pretty views over the village, and another large shower room with WC as well as the washer and tumble dryer.

Outside the front door is a south facing sheltered patio with a table & parasol, chairs and a bench seat. The patio enjoys the same views over the village to Exmoor and is a great spot for a cup of tea or a drink before heading into town. Parking in front of the house is seasonally restricted and well described on the signs. Park St (opposite) is unrestricted and a public car park is just a few minutes’ walk away.

We had a lovely stay with our young children in this beautiful flat with great views. We had everything we needed for our stay. Great shower and comfortable beds. Very close to local shops, pubs and the cliff railway is just at the end of the road. Bus stop was just over the road. Can highly recommend.
