Located in the peaceful hamlet of Penmayne on the edge of Rock, this stylish retreat sits within an exclusive development of holiday homes surrounded by rolling Cornish countryside. Stroll less than a mile to browse Rock’s inviting boutiques and restaurants and follow a footpath through fields to the hidden beach at Porthilly Cove. At low tide, you can walk to the beach at Rock or follow the South West Coast Path around the coast to Daymar Bay (2 miles). Keen surfers can catch a wave at Polzeath (2.5 miles), while water enthusiasts can try their hand at paddleboarding, sailing, water skiing and more in the Camel Estuary. Hop on the ferry at Rock to the iconic fishing harbour of Padstow.

Set on a raised, wraparound deck, this contemporary abode appeals with its warm wood, textured stone and expansive glass exterior. The inside is equally impressive, with modern, Scandi-inspired interiors filled with light and warmth, and cool coastal tones. The open-plan living area features a vaulted ceiling, wooden floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a crackling wood burner for cosy evenings after exploring the coast. A plush corner sofa invites relaxing TV nights, there’s a contemporary kitchen with high-quality appliances and a breakfast bar, along with a stylish dining table. Three soothing bedrooms promise restful nights. Choose between a king-size master with an en-suite, a double and a twin. The latter two share use of the family bathroom.

Indoor-outdoor living is seamless with a generous, wraparound sun deck framed by lush lawns and bordered by a glossy hedge. An outdoor tap makes it easy to rinse off sandy toes, and there’s a BBQ for relaxed outdoor meals. Private parking for two or three cars is available.

This was our second visit to Skovva & won't be our last. We love it - the location is great for shops, pubs, restaurants & the beach as well as trips to Polzeath, Padstow & Wadebridge. It was spotlessly clean & tidy & a lovely welcome pack was waiting for us. Thank you - we will be back.

Enjoyed our stay at Skovva. Very comfortable and loved sitting outside in the sun. Lots of places to visit, we love Cornwall!

Property was clean, modern and well equipped. Shutters helped greatly with privacy and controlling the temperature to a comfortable setting. I found a nice spot in the mornings to sit outside where I was not overlooked and enjoy an early morning coffee. Outside furniture was lovely. The property was spacious. Very good Wi-Fi. Everything selected isRead more to a very high standard. Also, good location, two minute stroll to a beautiful deli and fish and chip shop. Loved it all, spotless and great location to walk to the shops . Hardly used the car.

Skovva is a spectacular house and I loved it all. The best location for walks on the beach, lunch at The Pityme Inn and finishing the day with cocktails at The Mariners. We've booked to go again in 2025 and, quite frankly, I'm already wishing my year away.
