Set along the vibrant Rock Road, this elegant, contemporary property is ideal for families and friends keen to explore North Cornwall’s coastline. With a selection of shops and eateries nearby, and the sandy shores of Porthilly Cove and Rock Beach within a mile, traditional seaside fun is close at hand. Sailing, paddleboarding and other water sports are available at Rock, along with wildlife cruises and a ferry over the estuary to the fishing harbour of Padstow. Hike the Coast Path to find hidden coves and dramatic sea views, head to Polzeath (2.5 miles) to catch a wave, and discover Arthurian legend at Tintagel Castle (14 miles).

Arranged over two floors, this is a spacious, detached house with bright and airy interiors featuring cool coastal tones. To the rear of the property, the open-plan kitchen and dining area has wooden floors and crisp white walls with a horseshoe-shaped kitchen and a bench-style dining table. This flows into a beautiful lounge with plush sofas, a wood burner set in a slate hearth, a wall-mounted TV and patio doors leading to the rear garden. Carefully chosen antiques, including a striking grandfather clock and nautical artwork, add touches of heritage to the fresh surroundings. When it’s time to rest your head, five comfortable bedrooms are arranged between the ground and first floors. Downstairs, there’s a king-sized master suite, a twin and a room with bunk beds, along with two shower rooms, while upstairs you’ll find a king-size bedroom with an en-suite, along with a family room containing a king-sized bed plus twin singles.

To the rear, a sheltered patio leads to an enclosed lawn offering a safe haven for children and dogs to play. Enjoy laidback meals on the patio and sunny afternoons reclining on sun loungers. An open lawn and driveway for three cars are to the front.

Slipper Rock has a fresh open plan feel. Little touches of hand wash, toilet cleaner and washing up liquid very helpful. Laundry area was very useful. A lovely sized house and patio/garden.

The layout of the house was great for us with lots of space. The kitchen well stocked and easy to use - and we loved the wood burner fire.
