With three floors of contemporary coastal style and sublime sea views, this seaside house forms a magical backdrop for family gatherings and group holidays. With an enviable location in the heart of Polzeath, the shops, restaurants and sandy beach of this iconic surfing village are at your fingertips. Catch a wave in the bay or head out on foot to explore the views from the Pentire Headland. Further afield, Rock’s upscale shops and eateries, water sports and wildlife boat trips are less than 3 miles south. From here, you can hop on a ferry over the Camel Estuary to the harbour town of Padstow. Alternatively, explore the Arthurian legend at Tintagel Castle (13 miles).

This three-storey beach house has a reverse-level layout to maximise sea views and is built on a slope, so the front door opens directly to the second floor. Walk through to a light and airy, open-plan living space with floor-to-ceiling windows framing spectacular sea views and leading out to a generous balcony. The sleek kitchen has all the essentials for easy self-catering, including a wine fridge and a breakfast bar. There’s a stylish dining table and a large corner sofa, perfectly placed for sipping a glass of wine and gazing at the sunset. A separate TV room offers a quiet spot to curl up in front of a film and doubles up as a fourth bedroom with a king-size sofa bed. This floor is completed by a family bathroom. The middle floor features two soothing bedrooms, a king-size master suite and a twin room, both with en-suite shower rooms and private balconies facing the sea. Down again, the ground floor features a self-contained suite with a versatile super-king-size bed that can be arranged as a twin, a kitchenette and dining area, and a shower room – ideal for those who appreciate privacy and independence. Here, you’ll also find the back door and access to the rear patio.

All the sea-facing balconies are furnished, with the top balcony also offering sun loungers and outdoor dining facilities. On the ground floor, a sheltered patio invites evening BBQs, and there’s an astro lawn and board rack. Off-road parking for up to four cars is available by the front and rear doors.

A spacious, modern, warm house with great views. Just a stones throw from the beach, bars and shops. We had an enjoyable week here.
