This charming holiday cottage near Rock is an excellent base for a family or friends’ getaway, offering a peaceful setting while keeping you close to all the area’s highlights. Set off on leisurely dog walks straight from the doorstep, following scenic footpaths across The Point golf course to reach Polzeath or Daymer Bay, or wander across fields down to Porthilly and Rock Beach for a day of paddling and sandcastles (all within 1.5 miles). Rock itself is a hub of activity, whether you fancy lazy afternoons sipping local drinks with estuary views, action-packed family water sports, or long, sandy beach days. Golfers will love a round at the world-class St Enodoc Golf Course, where pay-and-play options are available. Hop on the ferry across to Padstow, where boutique shops, cafes, and a lively harbour make for the perfect day out. In the other direction, Polzeath (2 miles) beckons with golden sands, rolling surf, and restaurants and bars.

Enter through the front door onto chunky slate flagstones and into a retreat designed for easy holiday living. Head through to the social areas that flow across the ground floor. The living room is a welcoming retreat, with warm wooden floors, and cheerful coral accents. After a day exploring the coast, sink into the sofas or curl up in the armchairs. When evenings draw in, light the crackling wood burner, gather for board games, and enjoy cosy family time together. The open-plan kitchen and dining area is the heart of the retreat, with everything you need for a self-catering stay. Glass sliding doors fill the room with light and open onto the garden. Start the morning with coffee at the marble-topped breakfast bar, or enjoy evening meals with friends and family at the farmhouse dining table, complete with garden views. Upstairs, a first-floor snug is a hideaway for little ones and teenagers alike. When it’s time to rest, four beautifully styled bedrooms promise a restful night’s sleep. On the ground floor, the super-king-size master and a king-size bedroom each boast their own en-suite shower rooms. Upstairs, vaulted ceilings create a sense of space in the twin room (which can be converted into a super-king if needed) and also in the large family bedroom. We found nothing wrong wrong with accommidation the kitchen area was fanastic, would have liked a TV in there as well. Shower rooms were great.
