Gather friends and family for a memorable coastal escape at this holiday home in the heart of Rock, tucked away down a private lane. A scenic footpath leads you straight to the golden sweep of Rock Beach (0.5 miles), where calm estuary waters are perfect for paddling, and sheltered dunes make an idyllic location for picnics or BBQs. From here, stroll along the sand to Daymer Bay, stopping to explore the historic St Enodoc Church along the way. Rock itself is brimming with things to do, from water sports and sailing to leisurely coastal walks. Golfers can enjoy the world-class St Enodoc Golf Course right on the doorstep, offering breathtaking estuary views. A 2-mile drive away, Polzeath Beach is the place to be for surfing, with excellent waves and local surf schools catering to all levels. Alternatively, hop on the ferry from Rock to Padstow, where pretty harbour views, boutique shops, and foodie delights await.

Step inside and discover a house full of character and charm, with a roaring wood burner, a secret door, and plenty of cosy corners for holiday relaxation. In the summer, sunlight pours through sash windows into the two lounges, filling them with a warm and inviting glow. When winter arrives, gather around the double-fronted wood burner and bask in its radiant warmth. The vast kitchen is a true hub of the home, complete with a breakfast bar and hot plate for morning coffees, leisurely brunches, or preparing delicious feasts to share. When it’s time to rest, choose a wing and follow one of two staircases to discover six blissful bedrooms. The elegant master suite boasts a super-king bed, triple-aspect windows, and a spa-like open en-suite, while the queen-size bedroom also has its own sleek en-suite shower room. Two twin bedrooms, a super-king-size room and a double room share the family bathrooms, with every room enjoying calming views across the garden.

Outside, slate flagstones wrap around the house, creating an idyllic setting for sunbathing and al fresco dining. A statement glass dining table, resting on a twisted tree stump and surrounded by curved benches, provides a memorable spot for gathering together over evening meals. To the rear, chunky slate furniture sits beside a tranquil pond. The spacious lawn leads to tennis courts (shared with the neighbouring property), set against a backdrop of meadows dotted with wild orchids and sculptural tree stumps. As night falls, gather at the amphitheatre-style firepit and toast marshmallows under a canopy of stars. Ample private parking ensures a smooth and easy stay, letting you come and go at your leisure.
