Tucked away in the picturesque village of St Minver, this bright and breezy holiday home offers families and friends the chance to experience Cornwall’s coast at a gentler pace. With its pretty church and the laid-back vibe of the village cafe, St Minver gives you all the charm of the area without the hustle and bustle of Rock and Polzeath. It’s a 2-mile drive down the Rock Road to the golden sands of Rock Beach. Sheltered by the calm waters of the Camel Estuary, it’s perfect for paddling, sandcastle building, and splashing about. Rock is also a hub for water sports, from sailing and paddleboarding to wakesurfing and waterskiing. You can hop on the ferry to Padstow to explore the harbour, wander the shops, and tuck into some of Cornwall’s finest seafood. Polzeath Beach (2.5 miles) awaits, famous for its excellent surf. Alternatively, lace up your walking boots and set off along the South West Coast Path.

Enter this beautiful cottage and into a soothing, coastal-inspired interior. Blending original character with modern luxuries, it’s a dreamy retreat designed for unwinding. The heart of the retreat is the stylish kitchen, complete with a deep Belfast sink, open wooden shelving, and a Rangemaster oven ready for holiday feasts. Gather local treats from nearby farm shops and delis, then enjoy meals around the chunky wooden dining table set on slate flagstones, all with views of the garden beyond. A few steps lead you up to the inviting living room – a tranquil haven with comfortable sofas, beams, and sloped ceilings. On warmer days, throw open the double doors to the balcony and let the sea breeze drift in, or, during the cooler months, curl up beside the wood burner for cosy evenings together. When night falls, three serene bedrooms promise a restful stay. The romantic master suite offers a king-size bed and spa-like en-suite shower room. Two further bedrooms with flexible zip-and-link beds provide versatile accommodation, while the elegant family bathroom awaits for long, indulgent bubble baths.

Outside, a spacious patio with a statement dining table provides a lovely setting for al fresco suppers. The garden flows into a soft lawn, with a wildflower patch bursting into colour in spring and summer. A bubbling hot tub takes centre stage, the ultimate spot to watch the sun sink into the ocean. With parking for two cars, you can come and go with ease.

We had a wonderful week here. The house is absolutely beautiful - even lovelier than the photos. Real care has been taken in decor and equipment. The kitchen has everything we needed. The beds were really comfy. The hot tub was such a treat. We loved it all and would definitely return!

Weve just returned home from a wonderful stay at Mencarrick. We wanted to say what an amazing time we all had, so much so, that we ended up extending the stay for another 3 nights! The property is absolutely amazing and had everything we needed for such a memorable stay. We will definitely be retuning in the future.

Many thanks for such a wonderful holiday at Mencarrick. The property was beautiful. Spotlessly clean and we loved the welcome hamper. You had literally thought of everything guests would need especially in the kitchen. The service we received right from the start of the booking to returning our deposit has been fantastic and very professional.
