Situated on the private Dinham Estate in the heart of the Cornish countryside, you will be immersed among nature and greenery from this charming property that sleeps four guests. Head off on foot from the doorstep and explore the estate which sits on the edge of the Camel Estuary. Join various long-distance walking routes nearby, including the Camel Trail and the South West Coast Path. You will find several amenities in the bustling town of Wadebridge (2 miles), or head to the picturesque fishing village of Rock (4 miles) where there is a beach on the river’s edge – perfect for kayaking and paddleboarding. From here, hop on a boat over to Padstow which is a popular destination for foodies.
Step in through the front door and feel an immediate sense of the property’s history with flagstone floors and high ceilings. Prepare and create culinary delights in the well-appointed kitchen which has plenty of storage and surface space. There are also chairs set in front of a window overlooking the garden – those not cooking can sit and socialise with the chef. The open-plan lounge/diner has two wood burners (basket of logs supplied), one set in front of the dining table and the other by the sofas, where you can get cosy and watch the Smart TV. When you are ready for some sleep, climb the stairs to the first floor where there are two welcoming super-king-size zip-and-link bedrooms, both of which convert to twins on request. Serving the bedrooms and completing the home is a splendid family bathroom with a bath, separate shower and WC.
Outside, a peaceful lawned garden envelopes the property, offering plenty of opportunity to relax surrounded by nature. Gather at the furnished patio for morning brews; fire up the charcoal BBQ for al fresco feasts, and afterwards enjoy a stroll around the garden’s stream and pond – keeping an eye on any little ones! Guests will also benefit from ample parking.
