This inviting escape is ideal for groups of up to ten adults and children seeking a relaxed escape along the North Cornwall coast. Despite its setting in a quiet cul de sac, the house is less than a mile’s stroll – along a footpath that winds through fields – from lovely Porthilly Cove, and just a little further from Rock’s golden beach, shops, and restaurants. Enjoy sailing or water skiing at the local club, embark on a sea safari to spot dolphins and seals, or head to Polzeath Beach, 2.5 miles, for surfing lessons and board hire. Golfers will enjoy the links course at St Enodoc, 1 mile, while walkers can stride out on the coastal path for stunning views and the chance to spot seals and dolphins in the waves. For a magical day out with the family, visit the legendary Tintagel Castle, 13.5 miles.

In this delightful coastal haven, pale tones and light-filled spaces create a welcoming atmosphere for the ultimate in rest and relaxation. Take the steps up to the front door and enter the beautiful oak-framed conservatory extension, a lovely spot for a quiet moment with a morning coffee. The room flows seamlessly into the lounge/diner, filled with soft seating that’s comfortably arranged around a Smart TV. Adjacent, the farmhouse-style dining table is the place to gather for board games and sociable meals, and has views across rolling fields. The pretty kitchen includes everything the chef of the holiday will need to whip up hearty breakfasts and delicious dinners, plus a breakfast table and French doors that open onto the sunny patio. Three of the four bedrooms are also on the ground floor – a king-size and two twins, with pine furniture and crisp white walls for simplicity. They share two shower rooms (one with a WC), a bathroom with a WC, and a separate WC. Upstairs, the master bedroom with its sloping ceilings combines a king-size bed with two single children’s beds tucked under the eaves, perfect for families (please request the children’s beds in advance). Across the landing, the serene first-floor bathroom features a free-standing bath with a shower attachment and WC.

Outside, there’s a small front patio with a bench, designed for catching some sunshine with a coffee or a glass of wine. At the back, the sheltered garden is safely enclosed and combines a lawn and patio, bordered by vibrant summer flowers – an inviting setting for al fresco lunches, family games or simply sitting and doing nothing. Private parking accommodates up to two cars, with additional roadside parking nearby.

A lovely house in quiet cul-de-sac.We had very hot weather and upstairs room and conservatory a little difficult to keep cool. Lots of board games available. Beautiful garden. Great location. Local shop carries plenty of items and local bakery too.
