An inviting North Cornwall cottage, set in attractive gardens, this bright, airy, modern getaway nestles in an enviable position in Trebetherick. Just 0.5 miles from Polzeath and 1 mile from beautiful Daymer Bay, the three-bedroom retreat sleeps six guests and is ideal for a coastal break. While away summer afternoons swimming, surfing or picnicking on the sand at Polzeath. With its sand dunes and rockpools, Daymer Bay is also popular with families. Venture 7 miles into bustling Wadebridge to browse in the independent shops, dine out and hire bikes so you can cycle out along the Camel Trail. Trendy Rock is also known for its fresh seafood, as is Padstow, which can be reached by catching a ferry across the estuary. Those who enjoy walking may wish to follow a section of the picturesque South West Coast Path. Bodmin Moor, 13.5 miles away, is also known for its magnificent footpaths.

Stroll inside to find yourselves in light-filled accommodation with an abundance of space for everyone to spread out into and enjoy. From the lobby, make your way into the hall and on through to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Choose whether to light the wood burner here and settle on the sofa in front of the Smart TV or to amble through to the conservatory to relax with a cup of tea and admire the verdant, far-reaching views. Open the doors in here on fine days to savour the serenity and the fresh country air. Take turns preparing delicious meals in the chic kitchen space to share at the table, either inside or out. Challenge each other to tournaments in the games room, where you can play pool and darts. Your family shower room and two twin bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room and zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as a super-king-size by prior discussion, are also downstairs. A king-size bedroom, with an en-suite bathroom, is on the floor above. Here you also have a splendid second lounge, with a vaulted ceiling and another Smart TV and wood burner. Play games up here, choose books from the shelves and gaze up at the stars through the skylight windows.

Make the most of your superb outside space. Bask in the Cornish sunshine with a cold drink, play games on the lawn, cook out on the BBQ and take in the scenery. There is private, off-road parking here for three cars.

We loved the location of the house! Sunsets on Polzeath beach, swimming and fishing on Daymer Bay. Lovely walk to Rock with Lunch at Four Boys, a week of mixed weather but we didn't need to use the car once.
